Is there anyone in the Soccer world with this kind of athletic ability?
by the way, during the 1994 World Cup, a national U.S. poll revealed that 71% of Americans didn't even know the World Cup was even taking place. I guess the U.S. is more into NFL, NBA, MLB than Soccer.
But hey, American opinion matters, because not only is the USA the only military superpower and #1 economic power in the world, but also the U.S. is the #1 cultural superpower. The world copies U.S. culture: movies, dress, music.
Korea, China, and Japan all copy american music, more specifically, music styles created by black americans: R&B, Rap, etc.

why do Americans call a sport where the ball is THROWN 90% of the time football, they should call it throw-ball

"Lets take a little history lesson. "Football" as we know it today, started centuries ago in a country far, far, away. However, it wasn't called "Football" and it wasn't even "Football" as we know it today. Football was discovered by college students who wanted to play a different sport. They would've played the other sports, but they were just too boring. Years ago, these college students took a look at the available sports. Rugby and Soccer were the two main sports that influenced their "Football" ideas. So technically, "Football" is a form of Soccer.
Anyway, I'll skip the rest of the history, since it's not important. What IS important is how "Football" was played back in the day. The college students decided that they wanted a "rougher" sport that was similar to soccer and rugby. So, they made "Football". There were no rules, except to get the ball to the goal. So, as a result, there tended to be a lot of kicking. Since you use your foot to kick people, and since there is a ball in the game, they decided to call it football."
Sports to watch for me in order...
Basketball
Football
Soccer
Baseball

Not sure where they got that 90% percent figure from. If you're talking college football, it depends on the style of offense the school runs. If they run the wishbone offense, which is a run based offense, then the throwing percentage for their offense is less than 30%. If they run a four receiver set, then yeah, they'll be throwing more, but again it depends on the offense they run.
In the NFL, it also depends on the type of offense the team runs.

well from a fact did u know scoccer was not called football. they got that name from the NFL when there was a huge debate over in europe when they heard that america just had a sport named football when there had nothing to do with using ur foot.
the name football was created by america sad but true dont believe me go back to good day america like 3 weeks ago and they had a special segment about this.
europe always called scoccer (soccer) they didnt start calling it football until american's invented a sport called football which is called the NFL. so in outrage europes started calling soccer (football). sad but true.

To me, soccer is infinitely more interesting and fun to watch. Seeing the FIFA World Cup is the highlight of my summer when it comes around

But my favorite sport to watch would have to be Basketball, especially college basketball ... March Madness owns NBA playoffs.
Baseball is just boring to watch on TV. Real games are pretty fun tho.

Speaking of the wishbone offense and the athleticism in american football, I remember when I was a little kid watching the Oklahoma Sooners play, I remember one year, it was the year that they had Spencer Tillman and Lydell Carr, everyone in the offensive backfield ran the 40 yard dash in 4.4 seconds or faster. Even the fullback Lydell Carr at 225 pounds ran 4.39, Quarterback Bradley ran a 4.41. It was scary. Everyone in that backfield could take it the distance with that kind of speed. Their run offense averaged like 7.5 yards/carry. Speed kills.
Problem with the wishbone offense is that the carries were distributed evenly among the RBs, FB, QB, so it's kind of hard to recruit the blue chip athletes to your school, because the blue chippers usually wanted to go to a school where they can get the bulk of the carries and be the star, not share the limelight.

I would like him to shove it. I want to see him last 5 minutes with the likes of Federer or Nadal.
I'm taking a taxi to Kentucky where they don't even know all about me. I just need to feel s a f e.
I've got a thousand sweaters, and shoes, and paintings to hide the skeletons in my way.
But he said, "Slow down, slow down. Think it over, we've all got wretched closets, but silly girl pride kills more than Aids lately."
I said, "Come on, I thought it over. I don't wanna die here. I have no desire to get m♥rried."
Every night I pray for you, don't believe in heaven or that it could be a happy place.
