Quitting a Part-Time Job

If you're trying to quit a part-time job because you don't like it.
Would you make up an excuse or just tell the manager that you dont like it?
I really want to quit my part-time job that i started a couple weeks ago, but i know they're gonna bug me and ask why since the manager is koreann.. and you know how "koreans" have to know why..
I need a good excuse to tell my manager that im quitting. lol. are there any reasonable excuses?

Say you found a job closer to school or your home.

If not, say "I QUIT, YOU FARTBAG" and run far far away.

Haha, just tell them you are too tired or that you need to help your family with personal issues. Don't run away or quit unexpectingly, or else you won't have a job reference anymore.

Yeah, personal and family issues always work. I work for a korean owner too. Most of my friends tell him that they're either going on vacation (back to Korea..China..Germany..wherever..) for a couple months lol.

I worked for a chinese lady, i told her that i need to focus on my education

i actualyl found a better job

Actually... I think that if you say you found a job with a higher pay, the manager will totally understand.

it depends. if you really don't like the manager then tell them like it is. maybe it'll make the work place more enjoyable for the other workers if you tell them what's wrong with the place. but if it just wasn't for you but you still like the boss then you can just tell them that you found another job closer to home or another job that suited your tastes more. you can always list old jobs as references regardless of whether or not your old boss liked you so don't worry about offending anyone because seriously your new employer is not going to call your old employer because you're only doing part-time anyways.

i sorta had dat problem. i really hated my boss wid a passion. he was a rude ass. and totally understand wid da korean thing. i just said that my mom didnt want me working and yeah lol blame it on the parentals. haha

this is waht i said: well i called them and said, hi, this is ____ and i'm calling to letyou know that i am no longer interested in working at your establishment. thank you for the opportunity.. and the guy was just like 'ok' (btw i worked at a korean restuarant)

if u quit u dun get ur paycheck

if u get fired, u get ur last paycheck

whether you get fired or you quit,
you get the pay check for the amount of hours you work.

Make sure your excuse is valid + you need to come up with a better excuse when applying to another job when they ask you why you left your previous job.

excuses dont work for me. i work 6 days a week as a waitress for my aunt.. and i quit 2 times.. and i came to work after those 2 days with my aunt acting like it never happened at all. jdshskdf

lolu konw wat's funny...
yesterday was my first day working at the part time job at some food place...for only $4.50/hr from 6:30am-5...
and today i decided...do i really need the money that badly? and i have no breaks during the week...
the only break i have is on tuesday when i get off at 3pm. x_x
yea...so i dunno what excuse ill use....someone help me out
