It's not uncommon in Korea to have live squid with gochujang(red bean paste) as the dipping sauce. Personally, I prefer the squid to be cook before I eat it. Some people do enjoy it and I guess it's personal preferences and culture thing.

Yeah I can't eat the squid live so we usually cook it.

yeah ive seen it and my dad has had it before but we dont eat it often since we dont live by the sea or anything and live in america. i would rather eat something dead.

I hated the taste and feel of it down my throat. I had to eat it when I was with my host family in Japan years ago. It would be rude if I didn't eat it. It's not for everyone, let's just say that I didn't feel very well later on that night.

Sometimes i'm suprised at what asian people eat.. the way it wriggles in your mouth makes me want to throw up >_>
