i personally call it "soccer", but i was just wondering... because i know in different parts of the world people call it football and some call it soccer. ;

I usually call it soccer 'cause that's what most Aussies call it [football is AFL or NRL], but I like to call it football when I remember too

yeah......I never got why it's called "soccer" in the States. I mean.......practically the whole bloody world calls it football (in my case voetbal) which makes sense seeing that you use your feet to kick a ball.
now with American football, if I am not mistaken, the mayority of the time they use their hands and an oval shaped object yet they call it "football"
