Which do you think is the best digital camera brand(s) and why (in terms of features and photo quality etc...) ?

Canon or Nikon, period.

Try looking for like the 5 million other posts like this in this forum. There's lots of.. information and stuff on everything to do with cameras.

I am the minority here.

i like canon the most because the pictures come out really clear. plus i think they're better looking than and easier to function than a sony. i heard nikon was also good but i've never used one.

I have a Canon PowerShot A540, and it's not as thin or stylish as a Sony Cybershot or anything, but I love the functions.. hehe

Canon, of course.

I've owned 3 sony point and shoot cameras. DSC-P72, DSC-V1, and DSC-T5. Even though they're all sexy looking, the quality can't compare to Canon cameras. I was going for a 4th camera and deciding on a Canon SDXXX series (maybe an SD500), but I went ahead and went DSLR and got a Canon Digital Rebel XT, i'm loving it!

Canon. Sonys suck. I had 3 Sony's.

Quality : Canon
Desgin: Sony
A mixture of both: Nikon. I also like the old nikons better than the old canon's. Old, meaning pre-digital camera-- the film ones. Nikon's also make good SLR's. =/

but in my experience, I like the way Canon records color better. =/
and Nikon camera's, when you view pictures, they take a while to sharpen. =/

If you're really wondering how he (Tetra) looks...click; although I highly advise that you don't-- for your sake.

Personally speaking, I will say that Canon is the leading camera in the market due to the quality and services that they offer. But then, other brands are not bad too.

Nikon, I like...my sister got me a nice, compact Nikon, and it's real great. Simple, pictures come out clear, and there are the few, yet important and useful, functions that I love.

Canon is good I think.
Sony is pretty good.

My shop: Clothes, JRock, Magazines, CDs, Jewelry, etc.

Are you looking for a Point and shoot or SLR?
What's your price range?
Do you want a thick camera or thin?
Is there any year that you preferred the camera from?

my mom has a canon sd500 5 megapixel. it's really good. haven't had any problems with it. pictures are clear and easy to use. i'd reccommend that model.

i'm buying the sd630 model though pretty soon for myself. if you want to read some reviews on other canon cameras or other brands, try cnet.com
