argh my digital camera is still new..
okay so this is what happened
I was taking pictures and then i was using the zoom then i set the camera down and i guess it shut off on its own to save battery. when i try to turn it back on the lens tries to adjust itself making noises but doesnt move and then theres a screen that comes up saying 'Turn the power off and on again' which i did and the same thing happens over again.
I tried what the manual said to do.. reseting the whole thing, and taking the battery out but nothing seems to work.

does anyone know what could be wrong?
btw the digital camera is a Sony cybershot 7.2 mp

Basically, the lense is jammed. If its new, you might be able to take it to the store and have them exchange it. Otherwise call up sony and see if they will do anyhting about it.

yeah i just called sony right now and trying to see whats up
but she isnt much help

okay ugh right after i got off the phone giving the lady all my info and stuff and her telling meh where to send it
i just turned on the digital camera and tried shoving the lens back in as a last resort
and it works

yeah i have the same camera as you, if you have warranty, take it back. I don't have it so i have to be extra careful
