I'm looking for a new phone (my samsung a610 got runned over by a car ), and I'm deciding on getting either the w800 or w810. If anyone that has either one of these phones tell me whether it works good or not? Like what are the PROs and CONs.

I read in a forum (sorry, forgot which forum) that there SE w800 makes this hissing sound when playing to music, something related to firmware problems. Thats one thing thats keeping me from getting the phone. Can someone let me know if that really happens? Thanks in advance!

I just ordered a w810, and I have to say that if you need quadband than w810 is a must. So if your with cingular than you should get a w810 because of edge and quadband. If your with tmobile than w800 should be good enough.

Pros are walkman(best mp3 player for a phone), good camera, and SE are really easy to use. Well I think all cell phones are easy to use. But I think you would be satsified with a w800 or w810.

The camera on the w800i really is pretty outstanding. GF bought the w800i while I got the Samsung D600 instead. In terms of MP3 and camera, the SE wins hands down.

But the Samsung wins for not being frickin orange haha. That and the better screen.

i personally like se phones especially the walkman ones. I got w800 a few months ago and I really like it. Too bad the screen is kinda too small cus I had the s700 before and the screen was huge so I wanted to get the w900 but it was too expensive. I recommened it alot. GET IT!

Too bad I don't live in a place where I can get these phones for cheap =( If I want an unlocked phone, I'd have no choice but to order it online. ughh.

But if I were to order a phone, I would definitely get a W810i. (isn't that the black one??). Looks hot.

i found a w810 for $315 shipped and wasnt in bad condition so decided to buy it. should be here tommorow.

ive had the 810 for a while now...everything about it is not bad...pretty useful...i've used it to record video clips of teachers dissecting for anatomy and also teachers reviewing for exams...

But you can change the face plate to another colour like white or black if you don't like the orange =)

^ thats right, i like the samsung for its looks but in term of features the 810i is alot better .

I have the w810i, and it's pretty awesome. It's my replacement for my old phone, iPod Nano, and Sony Cybershot DSC-T9. I don't really use those aynmore now that I have the w810i. I have nothing to conplain about it, except maybe the speaker quality could be a bit better.

i have a w800.
pros:
good camera
mp3 player lasts long on (airplane mode)
neat programs (midi/beat maker)

cons:
sometimes joystick is annoying (i try to tap down fast repeatily and sometimes it goes left)
you have to leave the weird wire plug on just to use other head phones.

about the hissing sound, if you search around theres a way some people got rid of the hissing noise.

810 is thee better choice. only negatives I heard was that the ringer is softer than the speaker for music or something like that.

oh well, i don't have to bother getting an 810 since its not much different from the 800. Plus, i like how ya can have multicolor LEDs with the 800.
