Singer Jung Jae-hyung (34), a film music producer and a former member of the
group "Basis," will give a concert in Paris, France.
Jung has been invited by the Korean Culture Center in France to attend a cultural
event to be held there on the 120th anniversary of the establishment of the two
countries' diplomatic relations. He will give a concert entitled "Concert - Portrait de
Jung Jae-hyung" in Paris on June 21.
Joining the upcoming concert will be Aoki Takamasa, a Japanese musician and disc
jockey, as well as cellist Lee Jung-ran and electronic music programmer Juno.
At the concert, Jung will sing his hit songs such as "The Reason I Gave Up Myself," "A
Farewell Ceremony," and "Gather My Own Tears," and music from films, including
"Addiction" and "Princess Aurora," to his own piano accompaniment.
Upon concluding his activities with the group "Basis," Jung left for France to study
music in 1999. In France, he made the headlines by producing film and classical
music.
Currently, Jung is working on his third solo album, as well as writing music for the
film "Seduction of Mr. Robin" starring Daniel Henney and Uhm Jung-hwa.
