Just wondering how coaches communicate with players when they arent from the same background...eg. Hiddink coaching the korean players at the last world cup, how did he communicate with them? not sure if the korean players know english or if hiddink knows korean but i doubt both unsure.gif

^ just using that as an example, and im not only talking about soccer, but other sports as well

so can someone plz enlighten me! smile.gif

I don't know the answer to this, but I think there is a translator. I know that the referees are required to learn each language saying words like [ Dive, Foul, Holding, Hand Ball, Free Kick, Goal, etc ]

I'm pretty sure the coaches learn a couple of phrases to say haha

I'm sure there are interpretators, and some of the assistant coaches probably help as well. And I'm guessing that some of the head coaches all learn basic phrases...
Please don't forget me. { I'm going away. }
I'm taking a taxi to Kentucky where they don't even know all about me. I just need to feel s a f e.
I've got a thousand sweaters, and shoes, and paintings to hide the skeletons in my way.
But he said, "Slow down, slow down. Think it over, we've all got wretched closets, but silly girl pride kills more than Aids lately."
I said, "Come on, I thought it over. I don't wanna die here. I have no desire to get mrried."
Every night I pray for you, don't believe in heaven or that it could be a happy place.

yeah, learning basic phrases and maybe some of them can speak a bit of English. But also signing with his hands. If you pay close attention to the coach, you see him making all these signs to his players. They kinda have to no matter what language, cuz the field is too big to just scream from one side to the other. xD
