they wont release that till Nov 06..
i'm guessing... they have something real low like Athlon/Pentium 4 1.5ghz, 512MB ram, 32mb video card.
but recommended will be like
Athlon 64/P4 3ghz, 2GB ram, 256MB video card DX9

what are the minimum requirements to run the windows vista beta 2?
Windows Vista Minimum Supported System Requirements
Processor 800 MHz 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor1
System Memory 512 MB
GPU SVGA (800x600)
Graphics Memory -
HDD 20 GB
HDD Free Space 15 GB
Optical Drive CD-ROM drive2
Audio -
Internet -
1) Processor speed is specified as the nominal operational processor frequency for the device. Some processors have power management which allows the processor to run at a lower rate to save power.
2) The CD-ROM may be external (not integral, not built into the system).
At least that's what it says as of right now for Vista. For the beta right now though, you'd need a DVD-ROM drive, I think. I don't think they have CD-ROM versions. You can also check the Windows Vista Upgrade Advisor beta if you want to see if your system can run the beta and what drivers would still work.

I find it strange that you can't run it though tomacko.source.net, I'm willing to give it a shot though I might have to resort to usenet downloads.

Also to those interested, you can run the Vista upgrade advisor.

But seriously. It looks good. And bloated.

However, for optimum speed, 1 GB of RAM is necessary.
