I think about HK, the concept of teen pretty face girls and boys normally become commercial models, they either get spotted by some model agents or actually apply to become a model and get accepted. This is just like Janice, Angela and Whitney, they're all average teens who become part time teen models [HK have a lot of model agencies] .etc.
Most of them will appear in many catalogues and magazines and in fact many talent agencies refer to those models to find new actresses/actors/singers. Many of the current HK idol singers are just like that .eg. Gillian, Theresa, Shawn Yue, Stephy, Miki, Mandy, Isabelle, Rain Lee, Yumiko, Alex Fong, Kenny, Steven from Boy'z .etc. .etc. [they are all past teen models]
