After seeing another thread in this forum about the J.S.A. remake, I thought I'd google around to find more information, and the word on the street is that the U.S. remake will surround the U.S. and Mexican border.

hmm... ya, I think I brought that up as I'd read it elsewhere online. Dunno if it's true, but I think it's a dumb idea. After all, there's no comparison between the DMZ between North and South Korea, and the US-Mexican border. Who knows, maybe they can pull something off, but I doubt it!

How is it even considered a JSA remake if they use US-Mexico border? The whole JSA movie storyline revolves around the conflict between the two Koreas...hard to imagine how they can manage to create a story between US-Mexico that is even comparable

it could be shifted to the civil war, but a lot of changes would need to be made
