I'm a pretty new soccer fan , and I was wondering which team tends to be "better" in the past...?
From what I've seen so far (this year, the two teams korea and japan are about the same level...)
All I know is that Brazil pretty much owns at soccer...
Also , Im watching the japan vs brazil match right now, and does japan suck that much or is it because they are playing against brazil? bc japan can't really seem to keep posession of the ball..

On top of that, they got the draw with brazil.
Its 4:1 right now...

Let's hope that Korea would do us Asia countries proud
We cant judge who's better cause sometimes had to do with the grouping. But I reckon Japan tends to be better in the past. For present, I would not dare to say so but they got first placing for the Asia soccer cup from what Ive heard
"Let's make it last.."

japan had no chance in advancing to the next round.
fifa's ranking this so overrates japan, they are 18;
while korea is like 29th. --;

fifa's rankings are donkey crud
japan is not all that bad...it just seems like they really sucked because they were playing brazil
they do have an awesome goalkeep, I think...and their defense is pretty good
I haven't seen many recent korea games, so I can't comment on them

As oppose to Japan's 5 or 6, the rest just played in J-league.
It all comes down to experience and Brazil is not lacking in that area at all.

And they are also placed in a hard group table.
Which team is better? I'd say they can split it.

Japan has weak aerial attack/defense. They lack tall defenders except for a few.
And they are also placed in a hard group table.
Which team is better? I'd say they can split it.
I would have expected a loss if we were stuck in that group;
If brazil played like it did today, and korea were in the same position as japan; Probably the same outcome- although not as bad as 4:1.

i agree japan is physically not in the best possible shape... and they dont have a stable defense... i mean the game today... there were no defenders there to challenge some of those shots...

This is so funny. I was drinking on the rooftop last night with my closest friend who is chinese. We started talking about world cup and it is true that china hasn't produced a feasible soccer team yet
But China is probably the only asian affliation that produced/ will produce future NBA players. Yao ming comes to mind.
Also the fact that Michael Jordan and Lebron James only visited China in asia tells you something else.
During AND1 international tourneys and world wide domination tourneys, only china gets involved. Their street ball skill is just off the radar as well.
But we do have the world cup and '02 will forever be etched in WC history. So kudos to both countries.

Against each other, Korea definately has the edge. Korea's record against Japan is 18-10-5
