this is just a thread to introduce others who are interested in learning about other talented singers from the other parts of the world.. they don't have to sing in english... as long as they have talent XD

oooh!! also post how you found out about them and what songs you recommend smile.gif

hmm.. well i'll start by introducing

RAJATON (pronounced "rye - ah - ton")

they are an AWESOME FINNISH A CAPELLA group.. their vocals make me want to die.. haha happy.gif

especially in the song BUTTERFLY... BEAUTIFUL!

also i recommend their songs.. Un-Wishing Well and Lady Madonna... different from Butterfly which is more of a smooth ballad where as the other two are up beat and full of.. i guess you would call it scat... haha XD

i found about Rajaton through my choir teacher at school.. because she played one of their cds during my Vocal Jazz class for warm up and we all fell inlove with Butterfly... haha so in the end.. we worked our asses off and managed to learn it smile.gif... course we're no where near as good as them.. but i think we're okay... haha most of the times ph34r.gif

it's a freakishly hard song to learn especially since we're not pros... it's like a... 8 part song... mostly 6 part but splits to like 8 in the end.. beautiful song though... XD

i can't post up their songs... but if you search up rajaton on windows media... you will get to see them perform Lady Madonna and hear them perform Buttterfly smile.gif

i will try to upload it on youtube for all... that perf of lady madonna XD => http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o-QFQ_x0EpM

their official site: http://www.rajaton.org/main.site?action=si...e/view&id=2

i'm also really excited because they will be coming to vancouver this early aug to perform... i can't wait to watch them live XD

Fightstar: band from UK (I love their angry songs!! That and Charlie Simpson's sexy with the voice and looks laugh.gif )

Apocalyptica: band from Finland (Cellos and metal? They make it work.)

Son of Dork: band from UK (pop-punk, but catchy music no less.)

Elena Paparizou (female singer in the group above now SOLO ARTIST) she won in eurovision last year here are some songs; katse kala, treli kardia, game of love, mambo

w00t.gif Can Asia also do?

From Malaysia is Siti Nurhaliza. The pop princess of Malaysia and still goin strong. Just release her latest album last April. I'm from Malaysia that's why. I would recommend 'Biarlah Rahsia'.

Indonesia: I love DEWA. The rock band is so cool. The lyrics always meaningful. Check out 'Pupus' & 'Laskar Cinta'.

PM me if you guys want to buy the albums.

In Asia, Philippines to be precise. There are alot of talented singers and bands.

-Rivermaya: I recommend their songs You'll Be Safe Here, Liwanag Sa Dilim and 214.
-Bamboo: You gotta hear Mr. Clay and Hallelujah.
-Regine Velasquez: Any song by her, she has amazing vocals.
-Sarah Geronimo: A very talented young girl who started at the age of 15, she sounds a lot like Celine Dion.

there are so many finnish symphonic metal bands out there that create really beautiful music with female vox. European bands include within temptation, angtoria, epica, xandria, after forever, nightwish. as of now i am listening to a female group called delerium, which is actually US.
