There is a thread here called Titanic but it's not really about the movie or a thread for the movie so please dont close this. This is my favorite movie so I decided to make this thread for all the Titanic fans here. And if you don't like it, don't come in here and bash it please. And if your a fan of the actual Titanic itself(the real story, ship, survivors, etc.) then discuss it here as well. I think we all know the story right? If anyone needs a summary I'll post one.

This is my favorite movie. I think the historical aspects of it are amazing and so are the graphics(especially for 1997). I love the story of Jack and Rose but my favorite part of the movie is of the actual ship and the people when its sinking. Im obsessed with the Titanic and knowing everything about it. I also had a relative who died on the ship. I love the deleted scenes on the DVD, does anyone have it? Anyway..discuss smile.gif

best movie ever



the graphics/effects were so good.. and the actors were great... because they can act and the plot was fantastic


no matter what people say.. you can't deny that this film was beautifully shot

BOTH. haha

but I'm leaning towards best movie ever. Cheesy love story aside, it was different from the other movies that came out during that time. and the ship-sinking graphic effects were awesome. Also I thought Leonardo Dicaprio, Kate Winslet, and Billy Zane were really good.

i find documentaries about the titanic more entertaining then the movie titanic.

I would say overrated.

Good movie, but certainly not the best.

its a really good movie, especially when i first watched it in seventh grade. highest grossing movie of all time and tied with most academy award nominations (14).

most overrated. i definitely agree that its a wonderful movie but i just don't think that its the best movie ever.

i love the movie. and i thought it was beautiful as well but as the best movie ever? Ehhh. not really- there are other movies that are also good :]

same. i watched the documentary on the discovery channel and it was just so sad. there were these newlyweds that lost each other on the ship as it was sinking but found each other again later. that was nice.
