i've only read the second book so far but i'm already hooked. i've always thought it would be boring but once i got past chapter two, i couldn't stop reading. i finished it in a matter of hours. i'm gonna go buy the rest of the series now no mattter how much it will cost me.. (its about 10 bucks a book and theres about 9 books out so far)



for those who are not familiar with Gossip Girl, it's a series of books about boys and girls attending single-sex private schools in the glamous upper east side of new york. the book starts off with a girl name blair who wants to lose her virginity to her (really hot) boyfriend name nate before college... and then all this other stuff happens in between.. so on and so forth lol.. just try to get your hands on the books and find out!

anyways if you've read it, who's your favorite character and why? which one is your favorite book?

my fave character is NATE even though he's sort of a jerk.. just something about the way the author describes him. he just sounds sooo handsome! plus he's really charming... hmm. i don't know. my least favorite couple is dan/serena, because dan is so stalkerish. its weird. ekk

i've read it... and i loved the book... i've read the ff: because i'm worth it, you know you love me, all i want is everything, and gossip girl...
ummm.. i think i have to choose Blair... i dunno... maybe because she's a little weird and intelligent...
i even want nate and blair to end up with each other...
this novel is really nice... umm... i cant' explain why i love the book, i just love it...
ummm... have read the a-list... it's like the continuation of this novel... but not really the continuation... it's also nice...

I've read the first one... and the one with... Blair's ex and that 15/16 year old. And how he dumps her at the NYE party, where Blair's bro hooks up with Serena

the book sounds intersting from what i have heard.
how many books there are in total and is the series over ? O_o
people are so into the books now that when i try to get them from my public library is so filled up i have to wait a couple of weeks till i get the book.
my parents wont let me buy the books cause they told me to get it from the library :[

i think it gets progressively worse once cecily von ziegesar left the series to ghostwriters, which i think was around book 7 or 8 (and apparently while she wrote the prequel it was heavily edited and she hates the end result). basically i read the rest of the series out of loyalty.
