Synopsis from dramawiki:
Kaoru Amane, 16 years old, did not attend school but instead sang herself away every night after dark at a square in front of a train station with a guitar in her hands. She led a lifestyle opposite the norm, sleeping during the day and active at night. Kaoru was suffering from xeroderma pigmentosum (XP), an illness, which also might be described as the allergy to the sun, and was not allowed to be exposed to sunlight. The only motivation in her life was singing, which also was the only connection to the outside world. One day, an incident drastically changes her life...

Kaoru returns home at 4:00 am, before sunrise. Outside her room window, she spots a high school student standing with a surf board in his hands. It becomes her routine to watch him and his friends come and go to the ocean every morning, before going to sleep....

This is one show for the summer season that I'll definitely catch this upcoming July. Sawajiri Erika is a brilliant actress, and I just loved her stellar performance in 1 litre of tears so I'm hoping that she'd be able to deliver a splendid acting again for this drama, because the storyline does sound very sweet . As for the movie, I've always been a fan of both Yui and Takashi so yup, I can't wait for the movie as well. I don't particularly like Yamada though, I always find his acting very dull and repetitive... and he always has this same expression that is so very annoying to watch. I hope that he won't carry that same expression again to this drama.

I've been waiting for this forever... but for me, the movie seems more attractive than the drama... I love Yui and her voice.. her song on the movie (good-bye days or something along that line, w/ single out already) is really...... really... good..
but then!! I LOVE TAKAYUKI EVEN MORE!!!!!!!! omg.. hahaha. he's so sexy.. T-T
I can't wait.

FYI: movie is gonna be concentrating on the girl's life, whereas the drama focuses more on the boy's life as a poor boy and blah blah.

erika is brilliant in 1 litre of tears (BEST DRAMA EVER)... such great acting! i hope she'll be good in this one too.
