I'm going into Dental Hygiene. I was wondering is anyone else going into Dental Hygiene too? If so, how is it? Do you like it?

is there a difference between going into dental hygiene and studying to become a dentist?

yes of course there is a difference.. im in a program where i study for 2 years undergrad and then 3 years at dental school.. there is a separate program entirely for dental hygiene.. hygiene has to do w/ well.. the hygenic aspect of dentistry.. dentists r the pple you see for cavities and from there you have the option of specializing into more specific areas such as orthodontics, oral surgery, periodontics, etc etc. im not sure what degree you get for dental hygiene, but dentists obtain their D.D.S after dental school.. but yes, they are two separate things.
