oh i know, BJ is practically unstoppable at 155. but this is the best shape i've seen him entering a fight. hopefully this means that he is taking this fight seriously. and if he does win, maybe his next fight could be here in Hawaii, since MMA regulation is hopefully going to be approved soon.

yeah, heard regulation is going well, and you guys will probably have a UFC within the next year or so

My man Aoki would gogo plata BJ for lulz.

i must say, that would be one hell of a match. what you got top mount gogoplata or the normal gogoplata? haha. and if they were to bring a UFC event here where BJ is headlining, i say bring in Gomi or try to get Kid Yamamoto or even if they could try to get Aoki to come to America would be awesome.

kid's stock is way too low now. I would be sadder if it wasn't a Korean that just k.o.'ed him, and Gomi needs to rack up a few more wins, guy's not even top 10 anymore, and he used to be the king.

You're crazy if you think Aoki can submit BJ. BJ will pound his face silly while avoiding submissions and that's IF Aoki can take him down... which he can't.

In another note, all hail the DONG!!!! May his holy DONGBAR crush the infidel known as Jesse Taylor in Dream 10, TOMORROW!!!

well, i still think that after his dream contract ends, kid will probably take up the offer to fight in the WEC at 145 or maybe even 135. torres vs kid?
wanna watch dream tonight, gotta do some searching online though. damn time-warner for getting rid of HDNET.

Shinya Aoki has pretty good judo ashi waza, and even if he can not take BJ down im pretty sure he can pull guard.
Shinya Aoki is without a doubt one of the few guys that are very dangerous from bottom position and is one of the top grapplers in Japan. On the ground BJ is toast his posture will be broken and his GnP would be nullified. BJ's only advantage over Aoki is his striking.

Yoon Dong Sik was a great judoka, not as good as my man Jeon Ki Young but good as hell. Its a shame he has not translated his skills aswell as othe judoka in MMA.

He can't be cut.

He got cut during the GSP fight. Other than that his skin is pretty resistant to getting cut.

i meant cut of the "fight-ending" variety, but point well taken. I always mention this point, cause I feel that Fedor could be beaten in the UFC via cut/elbows.

That's so 2007. Jiu-jitsu has evolved to the point where guard is much more difficult to fight from. In a fight between two black belts, the guy on the bottom will be fighting two times harder than the guy on top. The only guard positions I can think of that won't put you in that situation are Butterfly Guard, X-Guard and Chill Dog.

man the strikeforce and affliction cards are starting to crap up now. overreem messed up his hand andbarnett can't get his fight license because he tested for a banned substance. and the people they might bring in for fedor are possibly, vitor belfort, brett rogers, or even bobby lashley (even though he said he's not interested, they are offering him around $500,000 for the fight.)

vitor seems to be on the top of the list, but that sucks just cause i was looking forward to the belfort santiago fight.

Fedor at -850 against Vitor. Nothing's been determined except that barnett's for sure off the card. What a toolbag; he singlehandedly spelled the doom of Affliction. dammit, just go the UFC Fedor....

Good solid Jiu Jitsu is where its at.
Shinya Aoki is also a much better guard player than BJJ and has alot more expirience he won Abu Dhabi bro.. BJ won a Mundials? The case remains the same Aoki>Bj olny chance Bj has is TKO or KO.

Josh Barnett killed Affliction MMA. now all their talent belongs to strikeforce, so maybe the brett rogers/fedor match may happen. Affliction will also be going back to sponsoring fighters in the UFC (supposedly) and Tito Ortiz may be back with the UFC again.

Anyone watch the Hong Man Choi fight vs. Conseco? that was CLASSIC XD
Chasing the good life, whatever that really is. If I'm so blessed to reach it...I cant wait to share it with those close.
