What I do when I do layer cakes is I get cooking spray (so much better than buttering or rubbing oil) and also cut a circle of parchment paper to the bottom as well. If you don't have parchment paper after you spray the pan, you can add flour to the pan and make sure to coat it evenly but don't make a thick layer. Also, cool the cake in the fridge or freezer (I would reccommend freezer) for a couple hours. The harder the cake is, the easier it is to work with. Also, shake the bottom of the pan firmly with the top of table to let it loose. Good luck! It took me a long time and a lot of cakes to finally learn the tricks of getting a good layer cake.
