Just a few questions, do you guys bake/cook your things using your OWN recipes? Or do you refer to some baking/cooking book/website? Like, how did you start baking/cooking? D: Did you just randomly grab some ingredients and experimented with it? o_o Did you just take an original recipe but added some of your own flavor to it? Or are there "basics" in the baking/cooking world? unsure.gif

Well, before you start baking, you'll need to learn the basic of baking and cooking. etc: cutting, peeling, frying, boiling, whisking, piping

Every thing else is up to you. If you are a beginner baker, you can use the re-made cake mixes. Or find easy beginner's recipe that don't require a lot of chopping, baking or using a stove or learn a easy recipe from your family.

And if someday, you feel adventure enough, you can trying creating your own dish biggrin.gif

For my usually, I try to think about what would go well with each other, but yet it's different. But when I do use a recipe online, I would make it exactly like what the instruction say but when I make it a second time or a third time, I play around with the recipe until it suits my taste.

So basicially, learn the basic, try some out, tweak the recipe, and play around with it biggrin.gif

Oh, and watching the Food Network helps too. lawl.

I hope this doesn't sound stupid. ph34r.gif But has anyone ever tried baking in a toaster oven? My oven is like totally not working, and I have a big urge to bake somthing. XD And whoever has tried baking with a toaster oven, please tell me how it came out.

I remember one time my mom tried baking with the old toaster oven, and It caught on fire (lol. luckly it was only small, and it died after a few seconds.) so now Im parinoid about baking in the toaster oven. aish. =_=

I made cookies in the toaster oven before. I only do it when want to make like 4 cookies and don't have to pull out the big pans. It turned out like a regular cookie, but it cooks faster. I just set the temp and the the time for like 5 mins and I Voilia I got a cookie. lawl.

I baked cupcakes in my toaster oven last weekend. It actually came out pretty good and the cupcakes were super moist. But I think you might find yourself adjusting the time or temperature a little bit. Also, my oven has a tendency to stop cooking once it hits the 6 minute mark. =_=;
