What's bechamel sauce?
Mind sharing the recipe =]

i got the recipe from this French website lol i'm from France.
i tried my best to translate it so you can try it =D
feel free to ask if there's something you'd like to be cleared up!
bechamel sauce is a white creamy sauce, i went to google more macaroni gratin recipes and they replace it by "double cream" or "heavy cream".
i'll wait for your comments =)
Macaroni Gratin
Preparation time : 30 mins
Cook time : 20 mins
Servings : 4
Ingredients :
• 200g macaroni
• 200g ham
• 100g gruyere cheese
• 1 clove garlic, minced
• Salt & pepper
• Optional : mushrooms (as much as you like)
-Cook the onions and add minced garlic
-At the same time, cook macaroni and hold aside
-Cook mushrooms for 10 mins over low heat
-Prepare bechamel sauce
-Add gruyere cheese into the sauce (much better when you put a lot!) and stir well
-Season with salt and pepper
-In a large bowl combine macaroni, ham, mushroom, bechamel sauce+cheese together
-Pour everything into the ovenproof dish/a large salad bowl (like the one used here)
-Bake in 210 degrees C oven for 20mins
When it’s ready, the surface should turn golden~

• 25cl milk
• 20g butter
• 2 tablespoons flour
• Salt & pepper
-Melt butter for a minute in the microwave
-In a bowl, stir the melted butter with flour
-Boil the milk
-Add the milk into the bowl while whipping
-Season with salt & pepper
-Put the whole into the microwave for a minute

but these 2 i made recently this first 1 i just made and the next was like last week.

made these Swedish buns/vanilla buns w/e their called tasted really good! >< I made pastry creme for the filling and added some left over strawberry jam i had recipe is posted on previous pages by another soompi member

Cinnamon sticks made out of the left over dough from the vanilla buns



first fondant cake I ever made got 2 lazy 2 decorate it thats y theres only 3 flowers poorly done my cream was 2 soft lol

Flan!


Cream Puffs! can't remember y im holding it though =S blah oh well ya i made the cream puffs and made some caramel to dip the tops in a filled them with strawberry frozen yogurt and green apple slices yum >.<
and that's all folks!
think i'll be back next week when i buy ingredients, sry 4 all the pics XP

they turned out pretty amaaazing, chewy and crunchy.<3
the only experience of baking a tart would be the egg tart...
this was quite different.: P but still delicious!

(sorry the pictures don't really do justice.: ( my baking creations are never pretty and iono how to make them pretty with a camera.: P)

I didn't actually bake it myself, a friend baked it for me and i thought it was really interesting.
She made me "brownies in a mug". It was really simple to make, i think it took only 5 mins or so and it was quite tasty.

In the meantime, I'm enrolled in an amateur pastry program.

My experiment today~

Spaghetti noodles with mozzarella, bacon bits, spinach and mushroom. x) Will probably cut out the mozzarella and bacon bits next time or vice versa.
