This looks so good, kind of like macaroni and cheese =O
What's bechamel sauce?
Mind sharing the recipe =]

thank you!
i got the recipe from this French website lol i'm from France.
i tried my best to translate it so you can try it =D
feel free to ask if there's something you'd like to be cleared up!
bechamel sauce is a white creamy sauce, i went to google more macaroni gratin recipes and they replace it by "double cream" or "heavy cream".
i'll wait for your comments =)

Macaroni Gratin

Preparation time : 30 mins
Cook time : 20 mins
Servings : 4

Ingredients :

• 200g macaroni
• 200g ham
• 100g gruyere cheese
• 1 clove garlic, minced
• Salt & pepper
• Optional : mushrooms (as much as you like)

-Cook the onions and add minced garlic
-At the same time, cook macaroni and hold aside
-Cook mushrooms for 10 mins over low heat
-Prepare bechamel sauce
-Add gruyere cheese into the sauce (much better when you put a lot!) and stir well
-Season with salt and pepper
-In a large bowl combine macaroni, ham, mushroom, bechamel sauce+cheese together
-Pour everything into the ovenproof dish/a large salad bowl (like the one used here)
-Bake in 210 degrees C oven for 20mins

When it’s ready, the surface should turn golden~

Bechamel Sauce

Ingredients :

• 25cl milk
• 20g butter
• 2 tablespoons flour
• Salt & pepper

-Melt butter for a minute in the microwave
-In a bowl, stir the melted butter with flour
-Boil the milk
-Add the milk into the bowl while whipping
-Season with salt & pepper
-Put the whole into the microwave for a minute

They're the most requested cupcakes I get.
Easy and simple. =)

first time posting here,
I didn't actually bake it myself, a friend baked it for me and i thought it was really interesting.
She made me "brownies in a mug". It was really simple to make, i think it took only 5 mins or so and it was quite tasty.

A compilation of the past few weeks. I haven't had enough time to cook and that makes me sad!

Click the pictures to access the recipes on my blog.

When I saw the bacon explosion recipe in the NYTimes, I actually tried it. And I died!

In the meantime, I'm enrolled in an amateur pastry program.

Here's a round white bread. This is so delicious.
