I swear my school cafeteria serves the BEST taco Salad. The lines are always long T_T. I decided to make my own taco salad today.

I made my own salsa(tomatoes, onions, garlic, jalapeno) T__T i didn't like it.. onions just killed it. I HATE RAW ONIONS!! hahaha

I mixed 4 Mexican shredded cheese, Romaine Lettuce, Ground BEef(mixed with Taco Seasoning), Sour Cream, and the sAlsa.

here's some pics:

I like the ones at my school better XD

Does making coffee count?
I am a barister in Sydney @ the rise cafe and very passionate about coffee, still much more to learn after 3 years. These photos are old so i am alot better nowadays but I dont have time to take pics. I will try to get pictures of my Panda's,love hearts and nicer rosseta pours in the next few days.

Omg, I LOVE coffee! I swear I am addicted to that stuff (ever since I started college blush.gif ) Beautiful designs!

A practice cake I made with fondant:

Pumpkin roll:

*recipe for pumpkin roll* (modified from Pumpkin Roll II recipe from allrecipes.com)

INGREDIENTS

* 3 eggs
* 2/3 c canned pumpkin
* 3/4 c white sugar
* 1/2 tsp cinnamon
* 1 tsp baking soda
* 3/4 c all-purpose flour
* 1/2 c chopped walnuts
* powdered sugar for dusting

* 2 T butter, softened
* 8 oz cream cheese
* 3/4 tsp vanilla extract
* 1 c powdered sugar

DIRECTIONS

1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Grease a 15x10x1 inch baking pan and line with wax paper. Grease and flour the paper.
2. In a large bowl, beat eggs on high for five minutes. Gradually add white sugar and pumpkin. Add flour, cinnamon, salt and baking soda. Spread batter evenly in pan. (Thicker batter will result in a more sponge-like cake, thinner batter will give you a harder crust). Sprinkle walnuts on top.
3. Bake for 15 minutes or until cake springs back when lightly touched. (Don't overbake or the cake will crack when you roll it!) Immediately turn out onto a linen towel dusted with powdered sugar. Peel off paper and roll cake up in the towel, starting with the short end. Cool.
4. Filling: Mix confectioners sugar, vanilla, butter or margarine, and cream cheese together till smooth.
5. Carefully unroll the cake. Spread filling over cake to within 1 inch of edges. Roll up again. Cover and chill until serving. Dust with additional powdered sugar.

I posted the recipe for the pumpkin roll, chewy cookie! ^^

Thanks Suki! I couldn't get the fondant to smooth out without ruining the cake (it was probably too warm in the kitchen). Next time I will try the icing - thanks!

NOOOOOOOOOOOO (in a nice tone and way)

confectioners sugar is the same as Powdered sugar but not white sugar... white sugar is heavier and grainier and powdered sugar a.k.a confectioners sugar. is finer and lighter.. used to make icing and such =)

if you want to use white sugar to make confectioners sugar here is what you do:

1 Cup of Granulated (normal white sugar)
1 TableSpoon of Corn Starch

Combine them together in a blender and blend until powdery smile.gif
