Actually, you shouldn't be registering for classes so late...? I'm attending the very last orientation session @ my school & they e-mailed all the last ones to register now. Your school should do the same thing, I presume.

It says: ''give yourself at least a week in advance to prepare for midterms.''
That's a bit late isn't it? I'd call that cramming. Hard core cramming.

First week in and you can already start registering for spring semester at my college. LOL.
I'm so scared that me and my roommate will clash !
I def want to try that whole roommate compromising at the beginning of the year thing though.
Hopefully we're not too different. ><
How did you guys know where you were going first day?
I'll be in the city, so my classes are alllll over the place.
Oh man I'm excited, but I'm scareddddd too.
Is it true that doing your laundry on a weekday rather than weekend is much better?
Rationally, it makes sense, but just asking anywayyy.

I'm not dorming, does that mean I'll be a loner? -__________-;
i'm not dorming either. we won't be loners!
i'm sure we'll find people to chill with thru clubs and associations & parties & such

No worries. Most universities have 'Welcome Week' or 'Frosh Week'. This is designed for students to get familiar with the campus and meet new people. And it's also open to students living off campus.
Other than this, the best way to make friends is during lectures. Just sit beside someone and introduce yourself, ask them about their program, classes. You might even end up having other lectures together. Just remember, you're not the only one who is new to this experience, so don't be afraid to strike a conversation (especailly during the first couple of weeks).

I worry about my classes a lot (ie where I have to go next, if I'll make it in time etc).
My university campus is medium sized- but it's really confusing to get around. I visited all of my lecture/classes the day before with my friend so I wouldn't get lost. I even drew my own map LOL
I usually find walking by yourself the best way to know the place- because then, you don't depend on your friends to lead you. And if you get lost.. well that's how you find your way around, right?
Just walk around and eventually you'll know where you're going.
Laundry was such a pain honestly. Usually, the weekends are the busiest so yes, it's better if you do it on Weekdays. Although there are several laundry machines, sometimes they might not work, and you might have to wait a while to get a dryer or whatever. But I used to wake up extra early in the morning to do laundry on Saturdays.

can you get expelled for drinking underage at college?
i dont mean getting wasted and trashing the dean's office, but just drinking a reasonable amount lol

It's college and you're supposed to know what you're doing and know that you're responsible enough to make the right decision.
The only reason I know that you definitely do get expelled for is plagiarism or cheating in exams. Obviously the other reasons would be trashing property or disrespecting the staff.

That's what I'm doing too - BSc.
But I'm not doing an extra year for Honours. Fyi, to do the Honours year you need at least an average of 65. (Not sure if it applies for you, there should be some minimum mark like that anyway).
For the Honours extra year, it's up to you if you want to do it. It's usually this research project that spans for the year. You do get more pay than those people that graduated with just a Bachelor's.
You can perhaps decide later, like once you get into your course and ask your course coordinator for more information and advice.

Yes, I'm planning to just leave the decision to do four years later after I get a taste of uni. ^^
