toilet paper was meant to be flushed.
it won't clog up the toilet unless you use alot.
so don't worry.
and anyways, i really don't want to see other people's blood covered TPs
PS. i think you should confront your roommate about her smelly towel >.<

quick Q.
i was talking to this girl in chemistry today and she said she was gna go to the doctors because her hair has been thinning a lot or she'd try some herbal stuff.
to be honest my hair is getting really thin too, i lose so much whenever i wash my hair. should i go to the docs too? or should i just get my dad to get some herbal stuff from hk when he goes cos itd be cheaper than trying to get one in the uk?
i dont really think its stress related cos well its been happening while i was on holiday too and i wasnt stressed at all. i dont really think its genetics either cos my parents still have loads of hair on their head. also i havent changed my shampoo type in years and its only just happened like for the past 4~6months..
i dont really know to be honest.

Just wanted to know, when you have your period and you go to the washroom; what do you do with the used toilet paper? Do you throw it in the trash, or flush it down the toilet?
This may seem silly; but one of my roommates just posted a note on the washroom door that she shares with me requesting that I flush my used papers down the toilet. In my opinion, I always thought of the toilet clogging so felt it was easier/safer to just throw it out. She says it's for hygienic purposes; now this offended me because a] I didn't comment on her body towel that smells up the shower, and b] she's implying that I'm unhygienic (since we're the only two who's "supposed" to use that washroom.
What should I do? I hate confrontations, but honestly; what the hell is up with all these stupid letters.
leave a letter for her too >:]
i don't want to clog up the toilet either so i just dump it in the trash and cover it with newspaper or w/e so it's not noticable & gross
and there's a reason why they put trashcans next to the toliet
and why some public restrooms request that you throw the trash in the can instead of flushing it in the toilet

To __ambrosia, maybe you guys could compromise - your habit with the used toilet paper and her towel.. I don't think your roommate is necessarily implying your unhygenic, but that the habit is unhygenic. By unhygenic I think she means the odor of stale blood, but if it clogs, you can blame it on your roommate's note Aahaha.

Don't worry too much about the clogging. When you go poop you flush those papers down the toilet too right?
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I've always wondered. Do pregnant people still get discharge all the time?
And what was the trend for discharge so that you can "track" where you are in your menstrual cycle? It was thin & runny & clear = ___________ thick & white = ___________
I always forget.

I flush my toilet paper down the toilet. If you don't it can build up in the trash really fast, and it starts to smell and stuff too. It IS blood afterall.

If you have a mother who is 4'11 and father who is 5'6, would you be taller than 5'6 or in between 4'11 and 5'6?

When do girls usually have their growth spurts? After about 2 years of puberty, do you get a growth spurt? Thanks if anyone can answer my question. : )
If you have a mother who is 4'11 and father who is 5'6, would you be taller than 5'6 or in between 4'11 and 5'6?
Girls usually have their growth spurts within 2 years of their growth spurts, yes, then a small height increase until between 18-20 years old. Some girls don't grow after their first growth spurt, some girls have many growth spurts so, you would have to look into your family history for that kind of information.
If the mother's only 4'11 and the father's 5'6, it is highly unlikely for a girl to surpass her father due to her mother's height. Had your mother's height been around 5'3, you might have been able to pass your father up. In this case, if you have a brother, he has a higher chance of passing up your father than you do.
Unless you have some tall people hidden within your family, you might be no taller than 5'2-5'3. How tall are you now?

is there something rong with me? im 15 and i hadnt have my period for about 5 months but sometimes i just get really little little periods for a few days that dont even require a pad. these 5 months i sorta cut back on fatty foods and exercised more and i lost abit of weight. is it becuase of this that my period cycle is messed up? o yea i also cant seem to hold in pee. when i am busting to go to the toilet i basically need to go instantly. is there something rong with me??????????
when you say a bit of weight, how much are we talking about? in order to maintain regular periods you need to have a certain percent body fat. if you don't have enough fat your periods get screwy or you don't get any at all. heres something to help you calculate: http://www.csgnetwork.com/bodyfatcalc.html
if you fall in the very low or even under, include more healthy fats in your diet. this doesn't replace going to the doctor of course.
as for the bladder control issue, are there any other symptoms? urinary tract infections make it harder to control. i think you should go to the doctor for this one.

I got the shot 3 times, but that was almost a year and half ago since I've had my last depo shot and I was on BC for up until January. I was wondering how BC affects the chances of a woman getting pregnant.
Thanks for your help.

Not to freak anyone out, but I almost died a couple of years ago from an ovarian cyst-related issue gone terribly wrong.
I'd always had heavy flow/intense cramping periods, but got birth control from my regular doctor to help ease the discomfort. I also experienced all of the symptoms listed in the wikipedia article, but chalked it up to being one of those women who, you know, just had miserable periods. I avoided going to the gynecologist because I grew up scared and embarrassed by the idea of a stranger probing my nether regions. My mother would harass me to make an appointment, but I never did, so I was 20 and had never gotten checked out.
The day it happened, I experienced this sharp, stabbing pain in my abdomen. I'd actually experienced this in the past, and knew it'd go away between 10-30 minutes later. Only, the pain didn't go away. Nine hours later, I finally called 911 and went to the ER.
Long story later, I blacked out several times in the ER and was told I was some sort of STD that was causing the pain. I argued with the doctor and nurses and whoever would listen because I knew there was absolutely no way. I mean, unless there is another way to catch an STD than through sex or sharing needles that I don't know about. Anyway, they insisted (they thought I was just lying) and sent me home. There, I blacked out once again, only this time, I landed on my face so that my eyebrow was partially severed off. Hearing the thud of my body hitting the floor, my mother ran upstairs and saw me passed out in a pool of my own blood.
I was soon back down in the ER. After laughing that gonorrhea girl was back, they soon shut the hell up when they realized they'd f@#ked up big time. My blood pressure was 80 over 40, and I'd lost more than half of my body's mass of blood. I'd passed out four times during my first visit, my stomach had become grossly bloated, and I'd had trouble/pain breathing (all from the internal bleeding). From those symptoms, they had diagnosed me with an STD while treating me as though I were a stupid, disease-ridden slut. Now they realized what idiots they had been and that Id probably sue their asses big time.
Anyway, the point is, all along, I'd had a ruptured cyst on my right ovary. 99.9% of the time, they clot and the bleeding ceases on their own. Apparently, I am part of the lucky .1% group of women in which it does not. If I had not fallen and cut my head, I would have bleed to death in a matter of an hour or two, tops. I'd already been losing consciousness and, in the ER I kept insisting that something was really wrong; that I was dying. Well, I was right.
So, let it be a lesson. No matter how much you fear a visit to the gynecologist, five minutes of discomfort beats the pain of slowly internally bleeding to death. If you have questions, or are experiencing anomalies, GO TO THE DOCTOR.
what an experience.
i had goosebumps while reading it.
glad you're ok tho
