i have a few questions >.<
my period comes wayy too much!! i get it once every 2 or 3 weeks and it usually goes for a week >.< are there any natural ways of making it every 4 weeks?
& i suck at using tampons!! ive tried so many times~ ive been swimming with a tampon before but it felt weird >.< i probably didnt push it up enough though
so i was wondering for you tampon users how much of you finger has to go in as well? and is it really hard to insert the tampon the wrong way? & anyone have DESCRPITIVE diagrams? mayve i put it in the wrong hole?
please dont be immature about this too =[ i have to go swimming regulary and i dont want my period disrupting me =[
I think I am lucky. My normal schedule is around 2 - 3 months. It's normal for me though, I think.
Anyways.........you do not have to stick any part of your finger in down there to get the tampon to go in right. The directions on the box are usually very good at explaining. The way they design a tampon (like a stick, you know?) was to make it easy for you to insert it down there. I can't explain it how to do it in words............but, advice would be to read the directions more carefully.

for the actual procedure, you'll be asked to get in a gown while the room is empty. then the doctor will come back in and usually tell you what he'll do. he'll apply some lube with a gloved hand and insert two fingers inside while pressing on your uterus from the outside with his other hand. this is to feel if there are any abnormal bumps. he'll also use a speculum to open up the vagina and insert the swab, which he will put in a culture jar afterwards. there's no pain (at least if you're taking the thin prep), just some slight discomfort from the pressure of trying to feel around. shouldn't take more than ten minutes.

also when i 1st started using tampons i was afraid of putting it in too far or the string would disappear...but putting it in too shallow is really uncomfortable

and i'd say the plastic applicatior or round tip tampons are the more comfortable to use as a beginner.

My period hasn't come in 12-13 months...is this okay? I've already seen my family doctor and she said to come back for a blood test next month if it doesn't come by then. I was just wondering if any of you have had this problem for this long? I started my period two years ago if that helps.

Is it possible to try another doctor so you can get a blood test sooner?
Hmm, I've had my period for about 8 years now.. and I've never had irregular periods until this summer (missed it for 1-2 months maybe?). I didn't really keep track of it in my earlier years but it came regularly.
However, it's kind of different for everyone since it varies with weight loss/gain, stress etc etc.
