^ Ah I see.

I guess different state, different price/requirement

In Oregon, there's a program called Family Planning program
Because I make less than their maximum monthly income requirement, I could get 1 year supply for free and free pap smear.

They don't even ask for proofs of my monthly income. ph34r.gif

but, I get for free if I go to the clinic
if I refill online, I've to pay $15 each.

Weird system unsure.gif

Does the parent get notified on any of this, lol <.<!! I'm 18 though. That sounds like so much work too T.T And I had wanted to do it secretly without my mom knowing and stuff.

^ You can definitely just go to your regular doctor too and they aren't allowed to disclose that information to
your parents

I have a sex/pregnancy question... T^T~

I think im really paranoid lol....
My breasts are really tender, especially under the armpit area, and they never have been ,even before a period.
My stomach is bloated, its huge man T^T~
Do you think Im pregnant? Because I searched online and it could be either pregnancy or your period is about to come....
I had UTI a couple of months back and havent had my period since December... I was kinda of scared so I asked my doctor about it and I got a pregnancy test done (feb 16) and it was negative ,but because of my paranoia I think she is lying to me because I still havent had my period lol and I have these symptoms and Ive had sex after the test so maybe I just got pregnant -__-~ I dont know...
I thought the method I use is good (after the 16th I went on b-pills ,but on the 6th day I had sex and I used protection ,but everytime my boyfriend was about to come he would stop so he wouldnt that way we could reduce the chance) I think using this method its probably impossible to get pregnant right? Think that what I have are just period is about to come signs? I mean I havent had my period for two-three months so I dont know and maybe ive never noticed that i get bloated or my breast hurt before period *sigh* lol~ sorry about my long rant~ So what do you think?
Lets Dance~!?!?!

I asked my Gyno about that, she said it's normal, as long as the white stuff is not thick like cottage cheese, it doesnt smell and it doesnt itch
Because that's how body cleans itself.

A few days before my period, I usually wear pantiliners because of the white discharge.
It is SO gross!! Why women have to go through this!! Grrr... >__<

QUOTE
Different Types of Discharge
White: Thick, white discharge is common at the beginning and end of your cycle. Normal white discharge is not accompanied by itching. If itching is present, thick white discharge can indicate a yeast infection.

Clear and stretchy: This is "fertile" mucous and means you are ovulating.

Clear and watery: This occurs at different times of your cycle and can be particularly heavy after exercising.

Yellow or Green: May indicate an infection, especially if thick or clumpy like cottage cheese or has a foul odor.

Brown: May happen right after periods, and is just "cleaning out" your vagina. Old blood looks brow

A normal vaginal dischargeconsists of about a teaspoon (4 ML) a day that is white or transparent, thick to thin, and odorless. This is formed by the normal bacteria and fluids the vaginal cells put off.

Does anybody here use the Planned Parenthood clinic?
To get BCPs, what are the stuff and requirements that you'd have to fulfill to be able to get them for free? Do you also have to fill up a form/sign up for something as well? Walk-ins are okay, too, right?

well, i live in Cali and i tried to make an appointment but i didnt have the actual phone number so i called their 1-800 number.
theyre not really helpful, they basicly told me to walk in and didnt even give me the phone number.
so i went in around 10:30, filled out a bunch of forms and about 3 hours later i was finally called up to see a nurse.
the day i went was actually a day after i turned 18 (i didnt plan on it, it just happened)
and i look young for my age so they probably thought i was lying. hah.
i have 0 income so she said i was qualified to get a year's worth of pills for free.
she gave me a precription for 3 months worth of pills and said i have to come back after i was done with the first cycle.

my advice is to not go on a saturday because it's sooo packed.
And I wish that we had never talked,
Our hips said it all..

Well unless you are pregnant I don't think its anything serious but you should go to your doctor and get it checked.

Im sure this has been asked but i really dont wanna sift through this whole thread.

My Question:

I am 17, and I am really wanting to switch to tampons. But people have told me that you really should not start using tampons until you are sexually active...is that right????

umm. i have never heard that before. i am 14 and not sexually active and ive been using tampons for almost a year now. whenever you feel comfortable with using tampons is the time you should start with them. trust me, after you get used to tampons. you wont want to switch back to pads anymore. they are soooo much better. pads are just like wearin diapers. eek.

the only danger to tampons is leaving them in too long.. you can get toxic shock.
Alice asked the Cheshire Cat `Would you tell me, please, which way I ought to go from here?'
"That depends a good deal on where you want to get to," said the Cat.
"I don't much care where--" said Alice.
"Then it doesn't matter which way you go,' said the Cat.

even still...tss is super rare...i had a tampon in for a month (i forgot it had one in there)...and the only thing that happened was vaginal odor. i just talked to my gyno today and she said the wackiest story was pulling out 5 tampons at a time (the girl had no idea...and they were in there for a month), my other gyno said that she see's that kind of stuff all the time (i dunno about 5 tampons though >_<).

but of course, you should take precautions.

ps. the gyno said the reason why that girl probably had 5 tampons was cause some girls put more than one tampon in at a time (WTF?) on purpose cause they have super heavy flows or they just dont have the time for tampon switching (long hours at school, work...etc). crazy. but of course, she says that if you have more than one tampon in there, sometimes one of the tampons turn sideways in the cervix and then it's hard to pull it out cause the string is kind of lodged in there...

...i love tampons though, i dont use pads anymore >_< ew.

I usually wear one tampon for whole 12-13 hours.
I'm lazy to change if it doesnt leak.

^ yeaaah, same. and my boobs like kinda hurt if i jump up and down.

as for tampons, i leave mine overnight because i don't wanna get leaks while sleeping. thats just..very very very messy. and for school, if im not a heavy flow, i leave it in the whole school day and just change when i get home.
