It is good. Or at least it's supposed to be good.
It's supposed to make your skin more milky and smooth.
Asians have been doing it for its beauty benefits for a long time.
At least according to my grandma. wink.gif

I splash it onto my face and just leave it to dry.

Here, quoting pprMNTE from another thread: smile.gif
And now my question. biggrin.gif

I've never had period cramps before, but I started having some this summer.
Is this normal? To develop period cramps after awhile? Or should I get it checked out?

And they hurt a lot, though I guess that's what girls with cramps go through.
But when I take Midol or Advil, they don't work. Is there anything else I can do to relieve to pain?

Haha the exact same thing has been happening to me. The first couple of years I had my period I experienced no cramps at all. But starting about a year or two ago I've been having crazy, painful cramps. So I don't know I figured it was just normal :/ I've taken Advil and Tylenol and stuff but they didn't seem to really work. Then a couple weeks ago I took 2 Motrin IB pills and it worked amazingly! I had no cramps right after I took them. So I recommend Motrin IB biggrin.gif Hope I helped.

this is kind of embarassing but
anyways

i'm 13 right now and most/all of
my friends have already started
on their period except for me
but i have all the "signs"
or however you'd like to call it
that i should be getting my period
soon yet i still haven't
so i was wondering...
is something wrong?

--EDIT--

oh and one more thing

high blood pressure runs in my
family and so does high metabolism
and so because of that i tend to sweat
a lot and i mean A LOT and it's
pretty gross like if i'm in school
and it's hot or like i just got back
from gym class

is there anything i can do about that?

i was wondering if anyone puts vaseline/petroleum jelly on your face like a moisturizer? i use it sometimes and it actually made my skin really clear/pimples free. but then my mom told me not to put it on my face because she said it'll harm my face? o.O;; i'm not really sure..

help? DD:

i don't think it's good for your skin esp around the eyes. you're mom sounds right but i forgot the name of the condition, there was once a thread about it

no need to worry yet, if you're older than 16 and still not having your period...yeah then there may be a problem
about the sweat,...I don't think high blood pressure is your problem. it's probably either puberty or an overreactive thyroid gland (i think errr.) i had a friend whose hands NEVER stopped sweating, ever! so he got a shot in his thyroid and and it stopped I believe, but that's an extreme case. You should just bring a spray deoderant if odor is the problem, or a handkerchief for your face, and of course a change of clothes after gym

Do any of you girlie's use cloth pads? & Diva Cups? (er- instead of tampons) I was looking at them on this website & wondering if you recommend it?

I don't think it's a bad idea to switch over? The prices looked expensive to me but in the long run, it's nothing!

I just went EEK! at reusing pads. Even though it should be sanitary, theres something wrong about reusing stuff like that.
I suppose cloth diapers when we were little are like that, but...

Uhh...what does the DivaCup do?!?!

Wow, I was just reading up on DivaCups and I think they sound really complicated. Not to mention kind of gross. Especially after reading this line about cleaning them:

"If it develops a smell, soak it overnight in a glass of warm water and 1 tsp of vinegar." crazy.gif

I don't really like the idea of putting a cup in my vagina and washing it out everytime I use it. Sure it'll save money, but I don't mind spending $6 every month on a box of tampons that I can just throw away when I'm done using, and don't have to worry about soaking, washing or messes.
There was nothing to fear,
and nothing to doubt.

i know it's a bad reference, but tyra banks gave vaseline away to the audience
because she calls it her everything creme (or something like that).
meaning, she puts it on everything, including her face + around her eyes.
so i dont think it can cause any harm-- it's just petroleum jelly.
And I wish that we had never talked,
Our hips said it all..

i actually read&learned about diva cup & bought it like a year ago and used it lol
it sounds gross to stick a cup thing inside your thing but its actually not that bad at all lol
i have tried tampons before and it was horrible for me lol so i stuck to pads...and you know
it sucks to wear pads cause its so annoying and uncomfortable

the diva cup does take more time and is a bit messier if your not use to it
and it is annoying to change it in public but overall its like the best thing ever.
you seriously forget you are on your period when you use it lol
i totally did when i used mine. i even ran around and etc while on my period ^^
cause i was using the diva cup. lol i would've totally forgot about the cup & changing it
if it didnt leak (it was overfilled lol)

i would recommend it if you have easy access to the sink when your using it
lol or at least wet towels or etc. cause it tends to get messy when you first use it.
and it does take a while to get use to putting it in and taking it out
but after you do get it in you dont feel a thing (unless you put it in wrong lol)

and as for the smell..i've been using it and it never smells bad lol
so yup smile.gif and its a good deal ^^ saves you money & eco friendly.
i think i got mine for $20..i forgot haha

and for cloth pads..nope .. it sounded like a hassle to have to wash it and etc o_O
i was about to get it but then i decided not to lol

literally felt like a normal day without my period lol which was greatttttt!
plus i always have bad cramps (like serious cramps to the point where i have to stay home & not go to school)
and when i use the diva cup, my cramps actually wasnt as painful and sometimes i dont even have any cramps lol ^^
