I've done a bit of reading and it seems as though everyone gets cramps during or before their periods. I always get irregular periods so i guess that's normal because it's been probably 3 years already. But i never get any cramps even before or during my periods so i never know when my period comes. It's like.. it just comes and i'm always unprepared >_> What i want to ask is if anyone is the same as me and what can i do to be prepared?

Oh and also, when your period comes, is it normal to have dark lumpy bits discharged?

Me to.

I thought that it wasn't anything bad before, i had my period over a month once!

I went to the school nurse and she sent me to a doctor who gave me pills to drink.

Now, when my period should come by it self. It act weird. I have been having my period over a week now.

Should i go see the doctor again?

I've had my period for 8 years and now I want to try tampons... again. The thing is, I've tried them before, and can't seem to get them in. o.o;
I haven't had sex yet... I mean, my boyfriend put his finger inside me one time, and I felt a lot of pressure down there, meh. Ouch. It didn't feel good or anything. At least I know I have a vagina now x.x Aside from that, nothing has been inside me. Ever.

Anyways. The next time I get my period (which was supposed to be last week D:), I want to try this again.

I have two tampons: a Tampax lite (cardboard applicator) and a Tampax pearl regular (plastic). Which one should I try first?

I know basically how to use one... you put it in up to where it separates, then you push the cotton in and throw the rest away?

But I can't get it in. Dx Not far enough, at least. Sometimes I can't find where it opens.

It's hard to relax when something's about to go in my body D:

I hate being a girl. T-T

Help me?

Just try to pretend nothing is happening, like dont think about it going in? im still kinda new with tampons, so sometimes i cant get it in properly! it takes practise.. sounds funny, but true !(:

You should DEFINITELY use the plastic one! my friend told me the cardboard ones hurt. I've never tried the cardboard one. I started with Playtex Sport. It's really good biggrin.gif

Hope this helps (:

put one foot on the toilet while standing up so your legs are separated and try to use the tampon in that position. most importantly, you must relax. i personally would use the tampax lite in cardboard first because it is smaller so it would be easier for you to get use to. i honestly dont feel a big difference between cardboard and plastic, but thats probably just me.

you just need practice. the more you do it, the more you'll get use to it.

I'm too lazy to make new topic so, I'll ask here.
My friend said that her mouth felt irritated after tongue kissing with her boyfriend. This happened more than once. What could it possibly be? The only answers I could think of is: he ate a food she's allergic to or..she thinks she feels it so, it's "mental".
What do you guys think? blink.gif

^ Perhaps he was trying to shove his tongue down her throat? Or he was really rough? That's all I can think of.

For those of you that take BCP, do you guys feel like it increases your appetite? o_o Cuz I started up on BCP again after swim season ended and now I feel like I'm always craving for food even when I'm not that hungry.

Yes, it is. In fact when women are planning to get themselves pregnant and are using the mucus method (checking the discharge), it's done every day several times a day to check the change in cervical mucus consistency. Just as long as there's no strong, offensive odour, odd colours (green, gray, yellow, brown and nowhere near period or right after your period) and it has a weird consistency (i.e. like cottage cheese, which is one of the symptoms of yeast infection) then you should be fine.

The only difference between the two is that Tampax lite would be thinner as it's meant for a lighter flow and of course the marketing of the Pearl is the beaded string which doesn't affect your question itself. So you'd be fine to try either but if you're going to go with the Lite, you might have to change it sooner if you're on a regular flow. Just throw the applicators away regardless. Plastic shouldn't be flushed, and although some cardboard applicators may say flushable, they're not designed to easily break down as toilet paper and it could clog your toilet.

As for it going in, like you said, you have to try to relax. If you tense up, so do your vaginal wall and it makes it hard for anything to get in there. You can also try to put it in at a different angle and see if it works out better.

Increased appetite can be a side effect of BCPs.
I do have cravings with the pill I'm on now, I didn't on the one I was using before (but it made me psycho at the end of the month tongue.gif).

im not sure where to ask this, but can you go into an indoor pool and swim if you have fresh scrapes or cuts (not sure what to call it) on your skin? will the chlorine from the pool affect the scrapes? it's just that i have swim practice this weekend and some guy pushed me and now i have a lot of scrapes on my legs.

It varies from person to person. For me, I felt no differences whatsoever =/

In terms of controlling it, for me it's jut self control. It probably helps that I'm at uni almost the whole day every day and food is expensive tongue.gif

for those who use tampons, pleaseee answerr this:
i use tampons everytime i get my period, and i insert it, no pain or whatever
but then *SOMETIMES* when i'm just sitting or relaxing
my stomach feels a bit weird? and sometimes my back hurts
is that normal? it only happens when I use tampons not pads and it doesn't do that all the time
but it makes me feel..awkward blink.gif
