I've been taking birth control pills since last September. For the first few months, my period was probably the same flow as it was before I took the pill. It was kind of light on the first day, heavy during the next few and then light the last couple days. The whole thing lasted around five days.
In January, my period was really light and it only lasted three days. I didn't really notice. Then in February, my period was also really light and lasted three days. Is this normal? I've heard of BCP's making you have lighter and shorter periods, could it be that my body was still adjusting and NOW the BCP is working to make shorter periods? o___o
Though all this time, my period arrived on the exact same day. But January/February, it arrived at a different time cause I guess I switched the time that I eat the pill. o_o
I'm just wondering why the flow and duration suddenly changed like that.

i knew there were pills that also helped acne, but does that mean that it's also more expensive? i'm just taking trinessa which is the cheaper version of ortho and i get it at planned parenthood for like $25. how much are you guys? i want to take BC pills that make my acne less. sooooo jealous of you girls.

hmm well mine is 20€ for 3 packs. which is about 27 USD
the price is pretty okay. the pills i took before Midane were a whole lot cheaper though. they were only about 11 USD for 3 packs ^^ but those were only for birth control. no other use.
this has never happened to me before. are you sure its because he released into you? it may be caused by something else.

I never experienced that before. Are you sure you didn't do something to provoke it?

Eh well it's gone now, but I tried searching it on google, and asked just in case it's happened to anyone.
I'm thinking it might've been either he was pushing up against my cervix or I didn't have an orgasm and we were going at it pretty long - everything kind of swells a bit during sex and when there's no orgasm after long arousal it can take a while for it to come down causing discomfort but he came in me, and ejaculate has something in it that triggers uterine contractions (increases the chance of the sperm to meet with the egg) which can emphasize that. But thanks for reading!

Are you eating healthy? If not, it could trigger that to form. I got one of those before.

Family doctor should be able to prescribe it.
Ask your doctor I guess, I'm not sure because I go to a Gynecologist. You should go to a Gyno because they are the experts.

Well imo, it's not good to use BC pills to avoid periods, the blood has to come out some time
If it's only occasionally, it should be fine. Like when you're going for a vacation and don't want to be bothered by it.
Maybe you should try the BC pills that shortens the period, such as Loestrin24, they say the pills will make your period lasted for less than 3 days.
Discuss it with your doctor.
About the age, I think you've to be at least 15-16 y.o.
I got this info from a BC pills site.
Yes. ORTHO TRI-CYCLEN is clinically proven to treat acne and maintain clearer skin. So, if you are at least 15 years old, desire contraception, have no medical reasons not to use the Pill, have menstrual periods, and do not improve on topical anti-acne medications, then ORTHO TRI-CYCLEN may be right for you.

I don't think it really matter, haha. I might suggest you not being on top because it's going to drip like crazy when he takes it out.

yes, it's normal that your period is irregular & there are lots of factors that can affect it.
