Is it normal for my nipples to be like...innies? ><
I don't know if it's just the way I am, or a puberty thing.. @____@
Also, I'm looking into getting BCP, but I'm wondering what the equivalent to PlannedParenthood is in Canada. ><'
Yes it's normal, some women just have inverted nipples.
Canada's Planned Parenthood is now called Options for Sexual Health, or Opt. for short. You can also look into youth clinics in your area.
has any of you guys taken 3 packs of bcp straight with no break?
i took my last pill of the second pack last night and im wondering if i could carry on delaying my period without any problems.
i havent had any problems with 2 packs straight so far.
and ive heard that we actually only have to get our period once a year? and that its even medically alright? im not sure about this though @_@;..
anyone got any information on this?
thanks in advance
That is what the nurse told me to do after complaining about my period and when I asked, she said there's no complications about doing it. However she told me not to prolong it any longer than three months.. she said that even if I skip straight to the fourth month, the period will come on its own at sometime during that fourth month (not necessarily during the fourth week - at any time during the cycle which ruins that whole purpose of you knowing exactly when you get your period).
I'm not too sure about the latter part of your question though. Sorry!

Question about birth control:
I'm 19, with moderate acne, and I have irregular periods. My periods will skip every other month- literally. It has been like this for about a year or so. Next week I have an appointment with my gyno and I wanted to ask about being put on bc to control this.
My question is...
Does the bc that is used for helping with acne (clinically proven stuff) really work? Does anyone have any success stories?
I'd really appreciate any info you guys can give me. Thanks!
I think all BCPs will help with acne as it balances your hormones but there are BCPs approved to be hormonal treatment of moderate acne some are: Diane-35, Yasmin (Yaz is it's lower dose estrogen counterpart), Ortho Tri-Cyclen (and OTC-lo, the lower-estrogen counterpart) and Alesse. All BCPs will regulate your period. Since you don't take any pills on the last week, you get a bleed (in other words a 'period') as a result of the drug withdrawal - not taking any in the last week causes your estrogen/progesterone levels to drop as it would in a normal hormonal cycle thereby causing a period.
What works for you is dependent on you, you won't know until you try it and you might have to try a few pills till you find one you like. As with any acne treatment, your skin might get worse before it gets better - i.e. you might go through a phase where your skin purges itself of the impurities in it then it gets really good from there.
I went on both Diane-35 and Yasmin. Both helped me with my acne. Without BCP, I would break out occasionally, it wasn't so bad that my whole face was full of zits but I did get them quite frequently. Diane-35 had a great progesterone in it (cytoproterone I believe), I did purge a bit in the beginning but after that my skin was so glowy, didn't get any zits and overall oil production decreased all over, not just my face (i.e. my hair wasn't as oily and it was so healthy and shiny looking). The pack said that it also helps with hair production, for people with hirsutism (excess hair) which I don't have but I did find that I shaved my legs less on it. However it gave me horrible mood swings and that's why I went off on it. This certain pill has a greater risk of blood clots than the other pills and isn't recommended for use more than 6 months. Yasmin has helped control my acne, I get zits very rarely but when I do, they are very small and go away quickly. I don't have the glowy skin and really nice hair as I did with Diane, but I have literally no PMS symptoms and no mood swings.
