I've started using a birth pill about 2.5 weeks ago, and the first few days were great!
No bleeding..nothing.
BUT THEN, my period started AGAIN only 3 days after I take the pill, and its been going on ever since,
15 days to be exact, and it doesn't seem like its going to let up anytime soon TT^TT
Is this normal for a first time birthpill-taker? Or should I tell my mom about this?
Wuahhadlsfkjafsdlk...its really making me angry ><

and then there's premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD) for those who have severe symptoms.

Haha I wonder what's considered "severe." I turn into a crazy person when I'm PMSing sometimes, I feel like it can get pretty severe. I have problems with depression in general and when it comes to that time of the month it gets especially bad :[

YamaSushi7- You're supposed to take it at the same time everyday. Also, my doctor told me it takes up to 3 months for your body to get fully used to it. At least that's what I remember... but you should ask your doctor if you have any questions. The particular brand you're taking might not be the best one for you.

^ Thanks SO much for the info ^0^

And my doctor said he gave me a low dosage pill (I think), would that be part of the problem too?

this is kind of awkward, but i've tried to find information about it and nowhere can i find something matching this situation..sorry if its a little graphic...
i had sex with my boyfriend for the first time last tuesday, afterwards i was freaking out, worrying about what if the condom didn't work---he used the same finger/hand to make sure that the condom was in place as he used to finger me afterwards....
anyhow, on friday (three days later) my period started..well, i hope that its my period (seems like it)...
Is there anyway that I could be pregnant and my body's reaction is to bleed like that? (friday-sunday=two full days of period so far)
if its only been 3 days since sex, it should just be a normal period right (i saw something about bleeding occuring 6-12 days after)? (my period is about 4 days early, but my boyfriend suggested that that could be due to different hormone levels because of horniness---his words)
i wonder if anyone has been in a similar situation... this is so stressful, not knowing...
thanks for any help/advice you can give...
and sorry if its long/weird...

i dont think you would be pregnant. you did start your period and everything. sperm dies after contact with air, so the whole same finger thing shouldnt matter anyways.
if you get your period, then it should be a safe sign that you're okay. dont stress about it too much and if you're really that worried, just get a pregnancy test.

Heating pads, drinking a lot of water & exercising before your period, avoid sour and cold food/drinks or MIDOL.

People should really look through the pages for exact if not similar questions being answered before posting ..... crazy.gif

if your period is regular, you can't get pregnant 3 days before your period. when i had sex the first time my period fluctuated, and it came about 1 week later, but after a few months it went back to 28 days. if it was your period, don't worry about it. (:

... it washes out easily. Just wash your panties like a normal person, haha.

And it shouldn't get on your pants because thongs still cover your... goodies. o.o;

It's too expensive to buy liners to wear every day. x.x

Er actually that's not true. Pregnancy can only happen if you're ovulating, which can occur at any time during your cycle (ovulation happens for 1 week out of a normal 28-31 day cycle). Doesn't matter if it's 3 days before your period or whatnot.

To the person who asked the original question, your period just started. The first time I had sex, my period started right afterwards actually and it kinda freaked me out. But I think it does have a lot to do with stress. If you were really pregnant, you would definitely not be having your period or bleeding.

No.

Wear a tampon, pop some midol, and enjoy your spring break.
