^okay, so i just googled it. and here's what i got.
sperm
doesn't die immediately with air contact

Tiny asks:
I heard that sperm die the second they hit oxygen. if that's so, how could you get pregnant during dry sex?
David replies:
Air definitely won't kill sperm in seconds! In fact, when you get a sperm test the lab you ejaculate into an open container and then the technicians let it sit for thirty minutes because it's easier to see moving sperm cells than it would be if they looked right away. (See sperm tests explained here or here.)
Bottom line: wet semen can still contain live sperm outside the body for *at least* half an hour.
Thanks, Tiny.

No, sperm do not die when they hit the air. This is a common myth!
Sperm can usually live up to seven days when they're in the cervical mucus of a woman's vagina. However, when they're not being nourished and protected by cervical mucus, vaginal secretions, the warmth and moisture of a man's urethra and reproductive tract, or other warm and moist conditions, they die anywhere between a half an hour to four hours.
If you've touched semen, it's a good idea to wash your hands, or at least wipe them off before touching the vulva or vagina.
but about your period, you're stressing out. stress = delayed period
chances are, you're just overreacting and you're not pregnant! so, try not to worry and you'll period will come.
