how do you girls deal with having your period and being at school?
it's so frustrating >_____<
i'm always wiggling in my seat because i'm afraid that if i sit a certain way,
that i'll leak away from the pad.
and then when i get up, i keep trying to touch my but and thigh area because
i keep feeling like i'm leaking -.-
then, when i go to the bathroom, i have to go in there with my bag and everything.
it's so uncomfortable, any tips?

and how do i not get my sheets dirty at night?
i usually do like 2-3 times when i get my period and i get
kind of embarassed because my maid washes my sheets.

i'm the exact same way as you. i go to college so after every class or hour, i usually go to the restroom and check. i'm very paranoid about it too. as for not getting your sheets dirty, wear a larger pad, tighter undies, and thicker pants so if it does leak, it won't get on the bedsheets.

i wear tampons whenever im on my period, except when i sleep, so i don't worry about leaks and what not. but back when i first got my period.... manggggg, i worried all the time!!! and it completely sucks sad.gif

also, i sleep sideways.. a friend told me to do that..sayn that it slows your blood flow.. or something like that~ so i slept sideways and noticed that my flow is not as heavy when i sleep. u can use those thick pads for night time. Always has it, i believe...

hmm...you should go to the bathroom often to check...JUST IN CASE.
i use tampons and they're more comfortable...maybe you should give it a try?
you can just stick them in your pocket and go to the bathroom during class w/o dragging your whole bag w/ you smile.gif

when you get your period at night, be more...cautious...like dont roll around like crazy, etc etc..
you can always place a dark colored towel under your butt area.

I find that's a horrible thing to do. I wake up and it's shredded into pieces. (I do it during emergencies when I forgot to put a pad in my backpack and I'm staying somewhere non-girly overnight)

When at school, I go to the toilet every break time. I know it sucks x_x I have little bag where I put the pads and I can hide it in my pockets under my shirt when I go ahaha I always have chunky pockets anyway cause I never put my valuables in my bag.

At night, I used to have a plastic sheet under me. Doubling up may help too. Make sure you sleep on your back. Less chance of rolling around too much. Good thing I don't have as many problems now sleep.gif
MATHMATICIOUS.

tampons, less worrying about leaking.
for dirty sheets, just wear overnight pads or you can put an old blanket on where you usually sleep so if you get that dirty, it'll be easier to wash than bed sheets that might bleed through to the mattress.

Do any of you get swollen breasts or breast
before and while you are on your period?
How long does it take for it to go away?
I am about to be over with mine and there
is still a hard spot in my left breast.plus
my period has been acting a little strange
it would stop for a little bit and then come back.
I am 19 btw.

mine get swollen before hand. it takes about a week to go away and then i usually get my period.

what workouts have you tried or any other methods you've tried that are good or at least okay at getting rid of cramps?
i'm about to be on my period within a week or two and i have SEVERE cramps.
i take Midol or ibuprofen but they only work for a few hours, at least four hours at a time.
any help?

I have a question. :|

so like... my period is ALWAYS regular. always always always. four week cycles. But just now, I was completely shocked to find out that it has started, and it's only been 2 1/2 - 3 weeks or so.
...is that normal?

I'm 17 years old, 18.9 BMI, not sexually active, etc etc. :\

I don't know, it's probably nothing but it just worries me since i'm usually ALWAYS regular.

thanks!

it's normal for periods to be irregular sometimes even if you're always regular. [:

i have the same problem as you sad.gif... i take tylenol, midol, whatever i have on hand, and it only lasts for few hours.

i do try some yoga, stretching, and sometimes i walk/ jog around and it feels better. also, try to drink hot/ warm drinks when you're about to have your period =]

anyway... i have a question... I'm 22 and it's been almost 10 years since I started my period and I still don't have a regular cycle... is this normal?

How irregular is yours, mines was irregular where i wouldn't have a period for a couple months, i went to the doctor and my cause was because of a fibrocystic lump in my boob, that's benign meaning not harmful. but doc gave me the pill and now i'm regular. sooo my point is go see a doctor haha.

one quick way to solve it if you have severe cramps, but seeing as you're only about to turn 15, i doubt your parents might agree to that.

take midol or any other pain reliever right when you get your period, dont wait for the cramp the actually kick in. drink warm drink and just light exercise.

So, I have a question..

My period started saturday and throughout the time I've been experiencing horrible cramps (when normally it's only the first day that would be so bad). It hurts to the point where I can't stand up straight and it feels as though my lower abdomen area is tightening. Could it be bloating? I have to take tylenol every so often just to make it feel better..

My period should have ended by now, but at the moment the pain is still there...Guess I'll sleep and see if it still hurts tomorrow.

In the meantime, anyone have any ideas? Midol? D:

midol helps. is this your first period? if so, then really bad cramps is normal. and periods range from three to eight days so it'll stop when it wants to. if you can't get the cramps to stop for more than two hours, talk to your mom/friend whose had her period/a sister.

I'm 18, and I've started my period since 5th grade. =/
This just in, I have a fever. =____= My whole body's shaking and I feel really cold... I took some tylenol so the pain/cramps/bloating/whatever it is stopped.
