It's my first time taking bcp's and I'm on the 3rd week, and I should have 3 more days until my "sugar pills" and that's when I'm supposed to get my period, correct? Well, for some reason I'm starting to spot now and I think my period is coming. Is this normal?

Oh, and ever since I started, the muscles in my legs, especially my calves are extra sore! I don't know why... I think I'm just really paranoid about the entire blood clotting thing. Should I get that checked out?

If this is your first time then spotting is normal.

Also: have you been doing anything to cause soreness in the legs? Exercising more, walking more, etc? Is it painful or just sore? Since it sounds like you've just been exercising your leg muscles it doesn't sound like clots. Here's some information.

I'm really worry right now because I don't know what's wrong with me =[
So for this month, my period is super late
it's past the 35 rule days thing already
And yeah well I'm scare.
I've missed my period ONCE before
which was like two months ago
i don't think it's possible that i can miss it again can i?
I've started my cycle ever since um..7th grade and now i'm in 12th
so roughly five years already
I don't think i'm consider those newbie hahaha, and my cycle has never been regular
it's always off by a few days
So has anyone experienced missed period even after your first few years? [like when it starts to get stable]
give me some insight please!
and if you did missed it, how many times in your life have you missed it?
Junga told me if I squeeze her watermelon, she'll crumble my cookies xD

i started in gr6 and i'm 20+ .. my period has never been regular and i asked my mom, who is a physician, and she said that's normal because some girls are more sensitive to things like what they eat, how mcuh they sleep and generally the more stress you have, the more irregular when your period comes..

so, if you're stressed over anything, school, guy problems, college, work.... etc, i think some of us just arent fortunate enough to be regular.

my worse irregularity has been when it came about 4/5 times in a year, and now.. it's never exactly on schedule, but slightyl better

^ ditto that. missing your period is nothing to be really scared of unless you might be pregnant. periods fluctuate with food, stress, etc. so you're fine.

I've just turned 18 and am a virgin, so there's no reason to have to go to the gyno, right? Or should I be going anyways?

You should start going regardless. smile.gif It's a good habit to start, and if there are any abnormalities you know sooner than later.

I forgot what they say about it ... it was something like, once you turn 18 or if you have sex before 18 you should start seeing the gyno.

Yes, you should go ahead and make an appointment with your gynecologist. It doesn't matter if you're a virgin or not. It's best to go to get an overall checkup to make sure everything is okay. I remember going to the gynecologist when I turned 18 and was still a virgin at that time. I knew I wouldn't be comfortable with seeing a male gyno so I made it with a female gyno. You should choose a gynecologist you're comfortable with. smile.gif

It might depend. It's uncomfortable at first but you get used to it, and it's very quickly done. The uncomfortable part about a gyno check up (for me at least) is when they put their fingers in and feel for anything usual. Ughhhh.

You're not alone. That was the most uncomfortable part for me too sweatingbullets.gif

2 questions ^^;

1) What is the procedure for getting birth control at Planned Parenthood? Like, what tests do they perform? And how much is the average cost for the visit+ pills combined? *is going tomorrow and is scared*

2) What are some super-early signs of pregnancy? ^^;

Make an appointment or else the wait time can be up to 2 hours.
You fill out a bunch of forms and they will check your blood pressure.
The cost of the pills will depend on your income.
Depending on where you live, you might be able to get it for free if you don't have a job.
And I wish that we had never talked,
Our hips said it all..

I did make an appointment..for tomorrow at 1 P.M lol.

They said without insurance it ranges from 60-140. ~___~ I don't want my mom to know, that's why.

I have a job on campus..does that count? Heh.

Depending on your state you can get it for free. biggrin.gif

I got one free pap per year and free birth control because I counted myself as independent (didn't want parents to know) and they only took my income into it.

Anyways, there's nothing wrong with pap smears ... if your mom asks, just say that they advised you get one or something. Your campus doesn't have a health center that does this stuff for free? ohmy.gif

1) Depending, they'll do a pap smear at the same time or not. They'll do a pap smear, go over options and prescribe some form of birth control. They'll take blood pressure and at my college they take temperature. For me, everything was free.

2) Super-early signs? Here's a website with some signs and what it can be mistaken for. If you're worried about being pregnant and it's early on (within 48 hours) you can still take Plan B and hope that nothing attaches to the wall, or if it's past 48 hours you can take a pregnancy test.

I'm in New Jersey...xD But gonna go to a clinic in New York....it's closer than the nearest one in Jersey LOL.

I don't think so...=/

Ahh, okay. I don't think the exam will be free but I'm hoping the pills will. biggrin.gif

I think I'm just over-reacting lulz.

No, they're not bad for you. Just make sure not to leave one in for over 6 hours, I think. Although I'd change it at least every 4 hours.

Go buy the Playtex sport... they're easy to put in, and they're for sports. XD
