I've been using them, no complications.
I change them every 4-8 hours but other times I dont change them after 7-10 hours, because sometimes I sleep longer than 8 hours , I still feel alright.

Yeah, I used to never believe that pms would effect your mood swings but now I believe it does. Even the people around me could tell I was PMS-ing. My brother for instance would be my period switch. It's always a day before or a few days before, he would tell me "Gosh, Lily is having PMS again." It effects your hormones right?

PMS is a result of your hormones. They hit at all time high during ovulation then if the egg isn't fertilized (and you get your period), your hormones, estrogen and progesterone drop way down again.

Ugh.. before I actually didn't have PMS symptoms except for a few breakouts from hormonal inbalance. But now, in addition to breakouts I get mood swings (which is so frustrating because there's no reason for what I'm feeling) and an insane craving for chocolate.

for birth control users, i have some questions for u. i just got them and after reading and listening to the doctor telling me about the risks and stuff i started to get really nervous and freaked out about using them.

so i was wondering what age did u start using them? how long have you been using them? even reading/hearin about the risks did u feel confortable using them? has everything been fine upto now? what brand is your pill?

AHHHHH! I just tried using the Tampax Pearl Plastic Regular tampons and I felt a bit dizzy after using it. Or maybe its the lack of sleep since I haven't slept all night. I already used tampons before like once or twice.

^ Either because of the lack of sleep or your body is allergic to tampons.
I remember my sister told me that she couldnt wear tampons. Not long after she inserted one in, she felt dizzy

yeah they do. but its better since u dont have to wear a fat pad; just wear pantyliner/really thin

uh..i doubt it. i use it; i like it alot because its easier to "get in" than alot of other brands. lol
as for absorbancy, for the first 2 or 3 days i go thru a super every 2 hours o___o
so i have to use jumbo. and they're HUGE. lol -____-

That's bull.

after the tampon is inserted in, the thread is only about 2-3 inches long.
So it's impossible to do that unless she didnt wear an underwear and the skirt was like 2 inches long.

hi again lisa...i just wanted to let you know that the risks are super low, and if there was something you really should be worried about, the doc woulda told you (like if you're prone to blood clots)...and I just got a new brand (its ok to switch around brands most times...) called Levlen.

just try them out for a month and if you seriously hate them, you can always get off of birth control pills (its not like its addictive lol...wait...it might be if you enjoy regular periods lol).

really? gosh, i've been on ortho tri-cyclen, nordette....and now levlen (just took my first pill of the month)


who knows? it might be diff for me...but so far, none of the birth control pills i've taken have made me sick...

...it just kicks my libido in the ass though.

Yeah, my swimming instructor and PE teacher tells us that all the time, because swimming right now is a part of our gym unit and for marks, we still have to swim even on our period and like you said, the water pressure keeps the blood in ^^. My worst period was for a bloody hell of 7 days , worse cramps I got, now it lasts up to 3-4 days lately. So glad, by the way, do any of you have problems with your mothers tell you're fat . I got told that this morning, I'm only 5'0 at 115, I think that's a healthy weight, I don't even think I'm overweight. I was eating breakfast this morning and then I was still pretty hungry, and I know eating breakfast makes you perform better in school and it doesn't get me as tired when I'm in gym, which I have swimming for 3 weeks, into 2nd week now. She told me this "Phuong, stop eating so much, just eat as much that will make you full, one day you'll be so fat, when you die you're going to die, dieting" -____-!! I mean just give me a break I'm only 14.

thats a healthy weight. i'm 5'1 and the last time i checked, i was 120 lbs. O_O! and when i told people, theyre like..."WHOA you don't even look over 100 lbs." =] but i slimmed down a bit from then cuz i went poor so i couldn't buy so much food anymore and im sick T_T

oddly..i don't get cramps and i never get moodswings when i'm PMSing. is there something wrong with me? i sitll get moodswings though, just not when i'm on my period.
