1. no you are not allowed to apply to more than one school for a university normally however there are a few schools who allow you to rank the schools you want to apply to. So it really depends on the school you're looking at, i'd recommend reading through the schools' websites =]

2. Um.. I don't even know how you would do that unless you did an early, and then wanted to apply to another for regular decision? In which case, most ALL the schools i know of say that if you get rejected for one enrolling term for example the fall of 2007, then you can't apply again.

3. Most schools are flexible with ACT and SAT thing, thus I would recommend taking both because some people happen to do better on one or the other. As for the SAT II policy, it is usually "optional" but most schools have turned into requiring two or three SAT IIs. I would also look up that according to school and also possible majors, because usually engineering majors require a science and math SAT II and thus forth.

Any more questions feel free to ask =]

Thanks so much smile.gif

also, this might be a dumb question but can regular decision applicants get deferred? and if so, how long do they have to wait to find out if they have been accepted or not?

I'm filling out the FASFA and I'm so confused. Is it even free? Cause at the last part, it sent me to a page where I have to pay $80 for it. I thought it had been free? ;x

Okay.. since I'm a total NEWB in this stuff.. I shall just ask.
Since I'm from Canada, would I have to take all the SAT jazz and all in order to study in the US, as an international student?
Is there anyway to avoid it? *cough* ph34r.gif phew.gif

For financial aid apps, they ask for W-2s.
Do those need to be in by February 15 or whatnot?
My dad doesn't get his from his work until then.
I know for some you have until middle-March to file them.

What all needs to be sent in by the February date?

legally, an employer can not give out w2's after january 31st, so your father should get his by then.

^ You definitely don't have to apply for housing until you're accepted. I didn't send out my housing apps until April or so last year.

did anyone who applied to UCLA receive a confirmation email/letter yet?
all the UC's i've applied to sent some form of acknowledgment that they received my app except UCLA, and it seems to be getting late since admissions/rejections come out March...
are you supposed to have received one by now, or is UCLA just slow?

the fafsa is not going to send anything to you on your financial aid package. Each individual school that you have sent your FAFSA to will send you a financial aid package to you once they have accepted you. If you have already been accepted you, I would expect the package in april. Most schools release their packages then so that you can decide by National Reply Date (May 1st). So I wouldn't worry so much about it now. You will get it when it comes.

I really hope it's just that they're slow, lol.
I haven't received mine either, so you're not alone.
Though, I got the mass email for the alumni scholarship... so I'm hoping they got my application, since they now have my email addy to send me emaisl.

Yes, you have to pay...why is that weird? You had to pay to send your SAT and SAT II scores to colleges as well? That's run by Collegeboard as well. You also have to pay to send AP scores out too..from that same company. I have sent mine..and it's legit if that's what you're wondering?
