The school I'm applying to doesn't require recommendations, but they would like to have them.
But what if the school you're applying to doesn't have specific forms for the recommendations from teachers?

What do I do?

^ most high schools have their own forms in the office. all of my universities gave forms, but i think if they didn't give forms you just give your teacher a stamped envelope and some information about yourself and ask them to pick up a form from the office.

I don't think we have a form.

So anyone else know what I'm supposed to do if there isn't a specific form for teacher recommendations?

About those counselor forms... what if you don't know your counselor that well? Some schools have forms that won't matter cuz they're mostly asking for class rank and stuff, but for ones that are more like recommendation letters...

Is it awkward to ask if you don't know your counselor that well?

no, it's not awkward. some universities even require that you have a counselor recommendation. i don't know about your school but my school has a form for anyone who needs a counselor to write an recommendation and on it is a list of items to give the counselor which tells them about yourself. usually you want to tell them about what you accomplishments, extracurricular activities, and your dreams/goals are. just writing or typing them on a piece of paper is fine. Anything that will tell them about who you are because yeah, the counselors don't even know the majority of the students. be sure to give the form to your counselor in person too, my school requires that we do that, but it just seems better to anyways.

i'm retaking the mathIIc satII, but i'm probably going to cancel it because i didn't start studying yet.
but umm, since you can send the sat scores to 5 colleges for free when you register, i'm probably going to fill out all my colleges at this time and get the 5 free, but i have a question.
when i send them ALL of my sat scores (so like from march, june) will get sent right?
but what happens if i cancel the october07 satII score? will my older scores still get sent?
i'm quite confused x_x

I'm not entirely sure, but I think your teacher can just write a typical recommendation letter. Most teachers have written numerous letters of recommendation, so they'll know what to write about. Most write about your accomplishments that they have witnessed first hand and your work ethic. Then they'll probably print out the letter using the school's letter head to show that it's official with an authentic signature.

I am basing this off my recent experience. I just completed a scholarship application that required a letter of recommendation, and my English teacher said that if the committee is not asking for any specific kind of subject for the letter of recommendation, she'll just write a basic letter that of course is more personal to the student.

i have a question and this may sound kind of stupid but i want to get this right
on the common app it asks Please indicate title, level (AP, IB, advanced, honors, etc.) and credit value of all courses you are taking this year.
would i type in AP Spanish (1) for the credit value?

It's .5 for each semester, unless you're on a trimester schedule.
