If that's your final grade for this term, then it should appear in your mid-year grade report. I recommend that you explain why you received a D in that class (just attach a short note).
If you have a D currently, but your term is not over, then just wait till your term grade comes out. Maybe your grade will improve.

when it says deadline: 1/1/08, does that mean you can submit it on the first or it has to be before the 1st? O_O

I'm not sure either, I don't know whether to rush it and submit it tonight or to wait till tomorrow to clean it up a little more????

it's due on the first-so you have until 11:59, 1/1/2008. be careful though because the deadline follows the time zone of the school youre applying to, and the common app uses the eastern time zone. hope this helps! (im still working on my own apps..procrastination kills -__-)

i have until tomorrow at 11:59, but i dont know if i should even bother writing the essays...
they are both 500 words long and that's pretty long. i can make up some short ones pretty fast but i dont feel like wasting time on it..
do you think i should just quickly write some essays tomorrow? or should i give up the application?

It's not like you're going to university for the sake of your counselor or teacher so the application isn't worth the trouble if you're not interested.

Edit /// I just sent my score reports, and the time Collegeboard goes by is by EasternST. So it says mine was submitted on the 3rd, when really it's still the 2nd. I checked deadlines and most of them were the 30th/31st of December .. and that was about half a week ago. I didn't do a rush delivery, but my friend suggested that I send an email to admissions explaining why I submitted them late. x____x

I'm sure they'll accept it... what's important is the forms and supplements
and
it was only 8 minutes late....they won't be that stringent
I think it goes by your local time, not the time where the school is located at
