^^^

If that's your final grade for this term, then it should appear in your mid-year grade report. I recommend that you explain why you received a D in that class (just attach a short note).

If you have a D currently, but your term is not over, then just wait till your term grade comes out. Maybe your grade will improve.

hi, i have a question about the common app deadline
when it says deadline: 1/1/08, does that mean you can submit it on the first or it has to be before the 1st? O_O

^ Good question. I would like to know this too. Does the Common App deadline mean that the app should be submitted ON the deadline at the latest, or BY the deadline (i.e. before that day)?

For Common App, I think that Jan 1 is the closing date (meaning the postmark date). Anyway, send it in today!

I'm not sure either, I don't know whether to rush it and submit it tonight or to wait till tomorrow to clean it up a little more????

it's due on the first-so you have until 11:59, 1/1/2008. be careful though because the deadline follows the time zone of the school youre applying to, and the common app uses the eastern time zone. hope this helps! (im still working on my own apps..procrastination kills -__-)

so i haven't finished my cornell application because i really dont want to write those stupid essays. i don't really care about applying to cornell, but i already told my counselor and teachers that i'm applying there.
i have until tomorrow at 11:59, but i dont know if i should even bother writing the essays...
they are both 500 words long and that's pretty long. i can make up some short ones pretty fast but i dont feel like wasting time on it..
do you think i should just quickly write some essays tomorrow? or should i give up the application?

If you have no intention of going to Cornell, regardless of whether you get in or not, don't waste the time or money on the application.

It's not like you're going to university for the sake of your counselor or teacher so the application isn't worth the trouble if you're not interested.

Shoot. So let's say the deadline for a school was 12/31/07 (Cough, Yale)-- but I sent it at 9:30 PM PST, which is 12:30 AM EST = 01/01/08, I am literally screwed. Right?

JOGMOGMOMG. Agggh, when is the deadline due for SAT scores for UCs? I just remembered I still haven't sent them in, and now I'm scared that I'm late for some of the deadlines. Should I do a rush delivery?!

Edit /// I just sent my score reports, and the time Collegeboard goes by is by EasternST. So it says mine was submitted on the 3rd, when really it's still the 2nd. I checked deadlines and most of them were the 30th/31st of December .. and that was about half a week ago. I didn't do a rush delivery, but my friend suggested that I send an email to admissions explaining why I submitted them late. x____x

I'm sure they'll accept it... what's important is the forms and supplements
and
it was only 8 minutes late....they won't be that stringent

I think it goes by your local time, not the time where the school is located at
