depends on what you're aiming for. If you're applying to an art school, then get your art teachers to do it; and if you're trying to be an engineer, then math/sci teachers. but no matter what, make sure you have a good relationship with your teachers that you do request it from. Some teachers are honest enough to tell you that they won't write one for you, but some aren't and will write nasty stuff about you and get you rejected.
and usually colleges won't accept letter from p.e. teachers b/c p.e. isn't a core curriculum, but if your teacher is your coach, then it's fine.
Just think about how a college admissions person would look at it. If they're getting a letter from your teacher saying how you're a genius at biology and will invent the cure for cancer, but then they see you're trying to apply for an English major, it's kinda irrelevant...

I just filled out the application online and I'm stuck on this part.. I don't get what it's asking me for. What kind of "extra details" are they asking for? Could i just leave it blank?
"Application Comments
If you would like to add any extra detail about the application you are about to submit, please do so in the space below (maximum 100 words)."
ALSO.. do universities look at only TERM 1 MARKS? Or TERM 1 and HALF OF TERM 2?
Thanks in advance

so if they're gonna check anyway, might as well put November one in before u get busted
PE, Health, and computer graphing (I took computer applications) doesn't go into your UC because they're not UC approved, at least my computer applications wasn't. But check with your Computer graphing class and ask ur teacher if it is a UC approved class. For my school, computer Applications wasn't UC approved, but Computer
hm, then wouldn't nonuc approved courses go under the
coursework OTHER THAN a-g section?

Hi, this is what you do. I had the same problem too, but unfortunately, I can't give you caps since I just turned in my application.
In the section where you add the schools you attended (i.e .your high school), you must put in the college you took the class at. This includes the amount of years, the # of grades you got (i.e if its a summer class, its likely 1 grade). Then, once you add the classes you take at the picture you posted, you can put in your class plus CL.
Hope that made sense,.

AHHH thanks so much! That fixed my problem perfectly.
Also, another question....did you guys put anything specific for descriptions of awards? I'm kind of just making stuff up here for now, lol. I looked on my school's website for some info...but is there anything specific the UC people will look for? Something short and to the point, or maybe a detailed description? (well, as detailed as it can get with 160 characters..) I think I'm worrying over the little things but it doesn't hurt to ask right? >_o

it has to be your student ID...your school should have supplied it to you

Actually, it's not the same as your school ID number. I thought also thought it was, but I asked an adviser and she said it's alright to leave it blank because CA doesn't even give this out to the students.. I left mine blank (I already submitted my app).
