I'd like to show you my history and see if you would recommend me explaining it. Also to see if I'll get insta-rejected or something. My application to UC Davis is due by the end of the month so ASAP help would be great!

I got a 20% warning from Soompi, I'm such a badass now! 8)

Please tell us what led you to select your anticipated academic program and/or NYU school/college, and what interests you most about your intended discipline.
For as long as I can recall my life has centered on the care and well being of children and an interest in my global community as a whole; for those reasons I have chosen to enter fields I believe these skills will be of the utmost importance- education and international relations. I have always enjoyed taking care of children and believe that taking the care and dedication I have for them and implementing my current knowledge into fields I can become further enlightened would help me not only become a better educator but a more compassionate person all around. It is my hope that in pursing degrees in the aforementioned subjects that I could take my knowledge and aid those who are less fortunate. With a degree in international relations and education I could reach out to children around the world and provide them one of their basic rights as human beings and show them that the possibilities are endless with just a small bit of hope and that just became you come from one place doesn’t mean you are going to end up there for the rest of your life. All it takes is a bit of hope, a lot of hard work and someone you can believe in and who believes in you.

Depends on the university or college. Best thing to do is go to the website of each school you're interested in - there's almost always a section that will you tell which AP/IB tests they accept and how much they credit they give, depending on your scores. Most colleges won't award credit unless you get at least a 3, and some won't take credit for certain AP tests even if you scored a 5.

I think you provide a lot of details about why you're interested in your intended field of study but maybe talk more about why you're choosing NYU's specific program. What you've said is great, but what makes you want to go to NYU and not just another university under the same major? Just my two cents, good luck (:
btw you might not want to post sensitive information such as college essays on forums. Just to cautious, you know?

I've received a couple priority applications from colleges that I don't have interest in. Is it worthwhile to apply since its free and if they sent me an application it means that I have a very good chance of getting in and getting financial aid right?

Omg this is probably a stupid question. But I think I seriously screwed myself over thanks to my College counselor's suggestion.
Okay, so on the Pre-application forms for art school are our answers to those questions really that important?
Like did it have to be 100% accurate, like my GPA?
My College counselor suggested to my class that if the school doesn't ask for a specific GPA that we should basically put our weighted GPA because it's probably better.
That's what I did and rounded because it was a ridiculous number. BUT now I'm freakishly worried that I screwed myself over and should have just put my unweighted GPA and now have listened to my college counselor's advice.
Am I screwed? Did I make a horrible mistake?
I'm like freaking out because I feel like I'm screwed.

I have over 170 hrs of service, but right now, there is only 40 hrs on my transcript b/c my school activities counselor who updates our service hours is EXTREMELY slow. I understand that there are a lot of other students who are turning in their service hours but I did volunteering over the summer(& also I volunteered somewhere for 3 years but didn't want to turn in my hours before I even finished volunteering) and turned in my hours the first week of school(beginning of sep) and it's STILL not registered on my transcript yet. The thing is, my school already sent my transcript to all the schools I'm applying to, and the hours on it will definitely not match the hours I claim I did in my ECs section of the common app. I'm worried that the admissions rep might think I'm BSing my hours. Is there anything I should do?

I'm not sure if it's diff for instate students but in the Academic history part do you list ALL your classes (like, Gym, Business, etc etc) because i have no idea what category those classes fall under T_T
also in the awards/activities section where would you list honor roll or math team awards and such o.0
i feel so dumb... less than 12 hours to complete it T_T

I don't want to pay two fees. Sending the scores to CSU Mentor means that they'll forward the scores to all CSU Campuses. I'm worried the scores won't arrive in SJSU Admission's hands on-time.... What should I do?

Say I apply ED to a college, would I need a higher average than usual to get in? For example, say there's a college that takes people with like 85 average or above. If I apply ED for that, would I need a couple points higher on the average or does it not matter?

Oh, and let's say you didn't get accepted into a school, would they tell you that you got rejected or just nothing at all?

they dont actually say rejection though. its something more like sorry there are not enough seats in the class of whatever. sorry there are a lot of qualified people who applied good luck, etc, etc.
