Is Barrons SAT practice tests better or Princeton Review SAT practice tests?
Which test prep book should I buy?

I heard that Princeton is better because the Barrons over do it.....

Yeah I agree with swtamy83. All of Barron's books have haaaard questions that you really won't see on the test day. I guess it's overpreparing? But then.. you want more realistic pratices.. so Princeton. Princeton is good for just about everything (:

i know a lot of people who prefer barons because it over prepares you, that way you wont be caught off guard. i tend to think that princeton underprepares you... but then again i dont use barons, and also my friend, who's really smart in bio, used their ap bio book and found alot of mistakes (in the princeton one)

just buy the collegeboard blue book w/practice tests

the barrons one is good if you want good good overpreparedness. but then u should def check out the real practice tests like flyaway said

agree with the above and a big part of it is how you use it. If you dont do serious prep work, doesnt really matter much either way.

i think it depends on ur preference. personally, i dont like barron's because (this might sound stupid but..) of it's appearance. whenever i open one up, i want close it immediately because it seems like there are so many words and stuff on one page that i feel overwhelmed. it also makes me bored easily because the font seems so dark. i dunno if that makes sense or not. princeton review was more readable and engaging for me. and i also found princeton review more helpful, not js because of that but in general, so yea.. princeton review for me.

i think the blue book is the best though, since it's actually made by collegeboard. one thing i dont like abt it though is that it gives you a range of possible scores instead of an actual score.. but the practice tests as a whole are good.

^usually the actual score u would get is right smack dab in the middle. so take the middle score. cuz thats wat hapened with my april sat score, i chekced my raw score, and compared it with blue book. it was middle of the range, +/-10 or 20 points.

mine actually corresponded with the lowest score range i got T_T like if the range i got was 600-700 on the practice, i'd get the 600 on the actual test... at least that's what happened on the last SAT i took

^weird!! cuz my april scores came out right in the middle for all three except writing which i got -10 from the middle
wait, but u are corresponding it with the RAW score right, not just what you get on a test
i mean you can do well on a test but is that the same raw score that u got on the real SAT?
