hey there =D well, very soon i'm gonna go to hk along with my family^^ i just want to know...which are the latest released tech stuff. such as mp3s, pcs, headphones/earphones, cell phones, etc...because i wanna come back with something that hasn't hit market in the us yet =]

i think cell phones are cheaper the HK..

the phone's that you have mentioned are like around HK$3200 + give or take 500... depends where u decide to buy it.

then thats not too cheap.
the sony ericsson w800 is selling for $300+ usd at the lowest price.
$300 usd = $2400 hkd

if the w800 sells for $2000 hkd, then thats a good deal haha

even though i'm not chinese and i've never been to hong kong, i think the only "cool" techie stuff you can get that is actually ahead/better than the ones in u.s. are cell phones... i think sony ericssons are really popular in hong kong so look for ones with "i" behind it because that means international while "c" means china... like w900i not w900c (even though they're pretty much the same model)... i'd be on the lookout for k790/k800 because that just came out and it's like THE digital camera phone- 3.2mp and it has cybershot logo on it...

i think the sony mdr-ex90lp earphones have hit the international market already, but maybe they're cheaper in HK - gotta watch out for knock-offs though...

the shure e500 earphones are released tomorrow if you're willing to fork out $500

sony traditionally go for heavy bass sounds, but treble is usually not as clear. shure have always been a bit weaker in the bass department, but far superior in clarity.

i don't know about headphones but i did see advertisements for the chocolate phone when i was in mainland china... and if it's in mainland china, it's in hong kong =_=lol

well when I went to HK last year, the SE phones were not much cheaper (maybe because they were so popular)

things like sony memory sticks were much cheaper

but i find that new releases are just as expensive..or not much cheaper

the LG K800 is about $3,580 HKD (at bigger name stores)
$3,580 HKD = $460.57 USD
but it might be a bit cheaper if you go to like smaller stores
