wow i need to give golden disk some major props. for ONCE an award show gets it right!!! it's almost always ridiculously biased, but with sg wannabe winning daesang and ivy winning the digital music daesang, i think it's safe to say i might have faith in the system again CONGRATS TO IVY!!! i cannot stress how much she deserved this, despite all the controversy. this just totally made my day despite the fact i have a final to take in a couple hours...

I hope I don't sound ignorant for this, but why in the world is Ivy getting criticized? I don't understand it at all. From what I heard, there was a not-so-innocent recording of a tape and she's supposedly the girl who cheated on dear ol' Wheesung, but other than that, what else? Her ex-BF is trying to blackmail her by releasing the tape online? So what if there was a *** tape? Shouldn't her ex-BF be getting the beef for even making one? What a total sleaze ball.

Actually, did I even get the facts straight? Is there something I'm missing here? What does this scandal have to do with her as a SINGER? So she's not so talented anymore for being a woman and having an intimate relationship with her boyfriend? What the freaking heck is this? I want to say that maybe she didn't even know her BF recorded anything. Even if she did, who the heck cares?! (Well, aside from the Korean netizens of course!) Why do they care so damn much? She's a singer for goodness' sake. Not a saint. (I don't mean that in a bad way.)

I'm sorry if this post was totally out there, but I'm just frustrated with Korean netizens. GAWD. =(

yoo tried blackmailing her with a supposed "sextape" he did with a hidden camera/rumors about her cheating her wheesung/ yoo abused her while ivy was driving/ yoo tried selling their relationship story to big movie companies

i do agree with you. as much as i was upset with this before she is a SINGER thats her job. shes talented and now they just hate her because her personal life has been opened up to the public. yes it does taint her image but do you honestly think everyone in this business are complete virgins and without bf's and gf's? nooooooo lol. they just do one HECK of a job keeping it from the media.

.. i think that people including myself tend to forget these are real women and men they can have relationships, make mistakes, screw up, and learn from them and move on with life. as musicians they grow from these things and use it to their advantage. but don't we all apply that to our lives as well? we learn and grow from mistakes and obstacles thrown at us..... I do believe that things happen for a reason..

whats even more frustrating is that some male celebs said they have cheated before and they didn't get crap from anyone? while these are rumors piled up with some possible truth to it as well as lies.

ppl were complaining that her acceptance speech was like a long press conference. well can you blame her? Fantom obviously isn't letting her do one when she obviously has something to say (which is known because of her message + what she wrote on her cy)

I just hate how big Korea makes this incident. I guess it's just that they're overly conservative, but seriously. I have to admit though that when I was a bit younger, I always thought celebs HAD to keep a clean image to be good celebs. Like somehow it was a part of their job to keep a clean image, but that's a really unrealistic image these people have to keep up with. People aren't perfect. =T So now, when I see these scandals and stupid rumors, I get pissed at the people for bashing these celebs for being what they are before their jobs: HUMANS. My god, you'd think at the harsh reactions of these netizens that their celebrities are all Virgin Mary's or something like that.

So female celebs are trash and male celebs can have their little fun? I mean, it's cool that they leave them alone, but that's the only cool thing. So leave the females alone too, god damn it! EQUALITY BETWEEN THE SEXES! *cough* anyways.

Another problem? Oh, dear goodness. I sincerely hope for Ivy's well-being.

^yeah i think we all think of celebs being super nice and innocent... then some people just choose to continue to believe that and dismiss everything or they accept the fact that they are real people too.. not making a mistake is impossible.

the problem isn't really huge its mostly just netizens starting up stupid stuff i just hope the media doesnt discover it though.

btw i didn't like her hair style either.. lol but her outfit was nice. ^^ and her earrings<3

when she first came out to receive the bongsang, to me it seemed like she didnt really want to be there. her expression when she walked out was like grim, and she looked like she just had a long cry or something. but i was happy that she did show up and ended up getting a daesang. it was her year and the awards were well deserved.
