Obviously by my avatar you can tell that I'm a huge fan of Floyd Mayweather Jr.
He's 36-0 with 22 KO's
If you ever watch his training videos he's on a whole other level of training. The way he hits the bag, the way he jump ropes, and the way he trains with the gloves in the ring. He has speed, power, agility, and ring awareness.
Some close runner ups for me have to be
1. Sugar Ray Robinson
2. Joe Frazier
3. Bernard Hopkins
Who do you think is the greatest p4p fighter?

Boxing Best Pound for Pound Fighter?

I would have to say currently by standing and skillwise, Floyd Mayweather Jr. is the best POUND FOR POUND fighter in the world today. No one even comes to the skill Mayweather has shown already in his young career. Bernard Hopkins is amazing FOR his age but lets face the facts. His last match against Tarver was a good one, but by all means nothing spectacular. IN my opinion, he bested an Antonio Tarver that was all washed up and tired out. Remember, before the fight, Tarver was coming down from an excess of weight from having to gain massive pounds for his role in Rocky VI. The whole coming down from heavyweight probably sapped him of his energy and speed. Shades of Roy Jones Jr. vs. Antonio Tarver I.
I would say other candidates for the best Pound for Pound fighter in the world today are Jermaine Taylor, Winky Wright, Ricky Hatton and Manny Pacquaio. These fighters have proved to be the best of the best in their respective classes. I still believe Mayweather beats them all though. Mayweather is the perfect blend of speed, strength and skill. The Pretty Boy rules all

Floyd Jr. is the most dominant fighter right now, but I haven't really seen the power in his punches to knock someone out. he's just so fast that he's going to win all his fights if he fights opponents who are slower than him. Also, I don't ever recall Floyd taking one on the chin to see how strong he is when he's down for the count.
Currently, my personal choice is Winky Wright. He's a superior boxer with truly great skills and he proved himself with really great opponents. IMO i thought he won the fight against Jermain Taylor. You can see Jermain give a huge sigh of relief in the last fight when it was announced it was a draw. Winky gave JT the boxing lesson of his life and i think he's lucky he's maintaining his middleweight crown.

Floyd Mayweather Jr. Has power to back up that amazing speed of his. If I remember correctly, he downed Sharmba Mitchell with a right straight to the body in the 6th round...to KO an opponent with just a bodyshot, that takes some power

Jermaine Taylor and Winky Wright are both great boxers, I honestly think Pacquaio is overrated, but Ricky Hatton is nice, got a strong chin, and just a straight power body puncher... dude's vicious..
Bernard Hopkins held his title for an incredible length of time, 20 fights (a record) and over 10 years, I think that is a very diffucult thing to accomplish.
I'd have to say that the bout between Taylor and Wright was a tie. I agree with the judges on that one. It was one great match though, just both of them taking hits, going in with all they got. Winky Wright's ability to defend against nearly all his opponents is great to watch too. He's one methodical mother f****er. I'd have to say that if they had a rematch Winky would win, but he's already expressed that he didn't want one since he was "robbed" of the title.
