However, FOX is apparently trying to get it cancelled. Every time it's season ends, it always runs the risk of never returning.
WATCH ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT MONDAYS @ 8PM ON FOX.

But, why are they cancelling the show? How are the ratings like in US? Didn't they win a few awards?

They just stopped showing new episodes temporaily due to baseball, or some crap like that.
New episodes return November 7th.

Arrested Development hasn't been cancelled... yet.

New episodes return November 7th.
But on the FOX forum it says it will be cancelled.
I love this show. You can't appreciate it the same unless you watch it in order from the 1st episode and up. (I rented DVDs just so I can do that). I love the references they make in there about Pretty Woman, Snoopy and etc.
It's brilliant!

But yes, now it has officially been cancelled.

It was great while it lasted though. It's still surprising that trigger-happy FOX actually let AD last this long. In the end people just stayed away, which is unfortunate ...
I'd boycott FOX but the only shows that I actually watch on TV besides AD are House and Family Guy. I love these two too much.
Damn!

There are even a couple shows now trying to copy Arrested Development's style. I mean, Arrested Development was really the first of it's kind. But I guess people just prefer stupid comedies like Rodney or whatever.
Arrested Development ends after it's third season, but I think it's reserved a place in TV history, which is midly comforting, even though FOX is completely screwing over the fans of this show.
Not to mention how many damn Emmy's it was giving FOX and how CRTICALLY ACCLAIMED it was.
Just watch. In a couple years, there are going to be so many Arrested Development clones.
