Hey guys=]

I need your opinions =] Ok, I signed up for the Oct SAT test......but I'm debating on whether to take the SAT again or the SATII's again, since I did badly on the SATIIs. My SAT score is near 2100, but I want to get higher than that. My two SATII's were really low ( not even near 700)........Is it wiser to take the SAT first in OCT so that I can do ED/EA or the SATII's again for ED/EA?

Thanks !

I need help too. ^^
I am going to be a senior in august.

I took SAT I in May and got a really low score (I did not make it pass 2000). But my summer vacation is already half-way through and my SAT score hasn't improved that much. I still need to retake 2 SAT subjects: math 2c and bio M. When should I take the SAT I again? Is October better or November or December? When should I take SAT II? Before SAT I or after SAT I?
I don't feel I'm prepared enough for SAT I and SAT II at all! Can I still apply for colleges in time if I do not take SAT I in October?

PS: I got a 720 on SAT II US History (in June 2005), should I retake the test along with my math 2c and bio M?

ED is early decision and EA is early action.

well, depends on what schools you're applying to and if they require sat2s
if they do, then i think you should retake your sat2s
if they don't you should retake your sats
of course, if you decide not to do any EDs or EAs then you can take both ^^

The latest you can test and still apply to college would be in December, but that's pushing it. You'll have to pay extra money for your scores to be expedited to the colleges so they can consider them on your application [usually due January 1].

Take the tests whenever you feel you'll score well on them. Yeah, that's common sense.

Your 720 US History is fine. Concentrate on getting 700+ on Biology and 750+ on IIC.

first of all, some schools still accept november scores as latest scores for ED, i believe (i saw this on yale's? or was it harvard's...) so check the ED school to see what their latest one can be
secondly, it depends on which school u want to go to. if ur aiming for like ivy leagues, SAT I is really more important, and you really want to aim for 2200+
thirdly, satii really doesn't matter as much, but if ur aiming for uc's, i'd say re-take the satII's, since ur satI score is in a pretty good shape for uc's
idk, thats my own opinions
and im re-taking october too! aiming for 2300 HAHAHA as if...

I'm in this crisis too....I must retake my SAT II's too but I also much take my SAT I, and originally I wanted to do EA but now I can't make the deadlines.....so I must resort to Regular Admissions.

I'm dissapointed in myself.

I want to ED for Columbia though.....Do you know whether SATII is more important or SATI?

On their website, it says:

" You must have all standardized testing completed by the November test date, and you must be very certain to have your scores reported directly to Columbia by the testing agency"

So that means, I can still take the November tests, and rush the scores?

:EDIT:: Wait, I'm confused.......so we can't rush our scores because they can't process its paper form anymore?

^I read on some university websites that you could rush your scores but that doesn't gaurantee that it will get to them on time. But I also heard that rushing the scores don't even get them there that much faster anyways.

I was reading on their site though....they said that they don't accept rushing because it's in paper format and they are doing everything in computer form....T____T

I got a 720 on my bio though...it's just the math IIC that I want to take over again because I messed it up....so it is wiser to take the SAT again first and then SATIIs?

my counselor told me that once you're sat score is in the 2100ish and more range, the chance that your score will drop is greater than improvement, so she advised me not to do it.

but each individual person is different, so i would take some of those practice tests first and see how you do on those and then decide =)
