Using Kill Box to remove viruses with help of anti-virus software

1. Your antivirus program detected the virus but is unvailable to remove the virus infected file(s).

2.It may (or may not depending on your anti-virus software [McAfee does]) give you a path (example: C:\Windows\.......) **

3.Copy and paste that address into the killbox program in the space called "Full path or File to Delete"

4.press the "X" button and answer yes to the question.

5. restart

6.(optional) You can put in the Win XP Cd to repair damaged areas if any created by the virus(es)

1. Reformat
2.new anti-virus software that tells path and cont. the above directions.
3.live with the virus on y our comp.

with viruses i recommend using F-Secure Online Scanner

ONLY thing is it'll scan your computer but will only disinfect viruses.

hey i said only for viruses, and there are other resources on that site that shows you how to remove malicious codes. well only people who don't know how to use a mac say that. OS X is based of UNIX so it's pretty safe to use since there are like 1 virus for UNIX for ever 10000 for windows...my point is that it's a very low threat to MACs UNIX LINX machines. And hope you know the world is gradually moving to UNIX/Linux. Lots of the servers on the net are now Linux based. People are moving away from window based servers cause they have too many loop holes. And Linux servers like Cpanel are easier to use and you get lot more options from them.

also F-secure is a PAY FOR securites package. And they're pretty quick with the Virus Definitions, so i think its nice, shoot i think it's nice for any company, to give you a free program to protect your computer and to scan your computer to find malicious codes. I suggested this because i scanned a customer's computer with their UDATED Norton and i did get any hits on a virus, used the online scanner and i found the viruses and got rid of them.

i already know that windows sux mac sux the only best is linux but to take full advvatage of it u must know how to wok the coding of it and many version u must compile ur own programs which is a pain the the as-

since i'm not that familar with it i have to stick to windows and when everything i interact with uses windows it requires compatablity.

lets say a virus/worm w/e happens to block you from the interent ur antivirus is useless and ur comp will soon be too(1 WORD: OWND!!!!!!!) i don't feel like paying for something when i know that i can kill it by my own hands for 0$
