But, after awhile, I love living here, the only thing I missed from my homecountry is the food.

Yeah.... I kinda went crazy one month and rang up a $900 credit card bill (which I just finished paying off). Stupid London High Street shopping. Regent Street is the DEVIL!!!!!
Oh yeah, and since the food sucked, I ended up eating out A LOT. And even then, it wasn't that good.
But I loved the fashion (despite everything) and the accents were so droolworthy. Even if a guy was really busted, he would gain 10 cool points because of his accent. Why can't Americans have awesome accents, too? Damn.

You should go to the study abroad office to find out how your school works.
At my school, you only have to pay the tuition of a regular semester at your home university... since I'm in-state, it's pretty good. We only had to pay for housing, food, and extra expenses.
Plane ticket was about $600.
Housing - $6000 (includes meal plan, library fees - Oxford charges extra library fees - those bitches.)
Extra expenses - this can vary depending on how much you want to travel in Europe. A Eurorail pass is like $400. A Britrail pass that allows you to travel in the U.K. is around $200.
If you want, you can buy cheap plane tickets - ranging from 50-60 pounds to fly around Europe.
Spending money goes really quickly, especially when you're in a foriegn country... most likely from the fact that it doesn't feel or look like the money you're used to, so you just think it's play money. I would save at least $1,000 for extra expenses. That would give you amble room to shop, travel, eat out, go to plays, etc.
The great thing about Europe is that the hostel system is really nice. Some places (like Amsterdam) has some really bootleg hostels, but most of the time, they're pretty okay. Just travel in a group to be safe.

We do have accents, but we just don't hear them as obviously as some and English or British people always compliment me on my American accent. Most of them like the slang terms and such. But it is really expensive here, I can't stand it.
