One easy way is to put of a for sale sign. I sold my old car within a week.

Sell to a dealership aka "stealership" and they will laugh all the way to the bank. They will give you crap for your car, so if you want to maximize your money don't do that. The best way to get any value for your car is to sell it to a private party (another person) through dealing with the person directly. The only con for selling your car this way is that there is a lot of hassle. You have to advertise, arrange to meet with potential buyers, meet with potential buyers, deal with money transfers, smogging car, etc. That is why lazy people will take significantly less money so they don't have to deal with this... like one of my friends that I know.

or do what kuku suggested and advertise your car, through your car with a sign or writing on it with some general info of your car on it: Year, mileage, phone number, asking price

Oh..sorry..I wrote a typo... I meant my friend told me that carmax will give me a fair pricing on my car, unlike dealership which will rip you off when you sell your car to them.

And yes, I'm going to buy a 06 Acura Tsx right after I sell my current one.
